My group is very nearly 50% female; there are 7 of us, of whom 3 are women. Their play style is about the same as that of us guys-- which is to say, they like to run about and kill stuff.
One of the ladies plays a badass dwarven fighter, one of our front-line tanks. Another is a gnome cleric who acts as our flying medivac when necessary, but prefers to use attack spells and her holy longsword. The third is a bard, and though she does mainly play a support role, it has been forced on her because of her class choice; once we reset the campaign for 3.5, she plans to play a Duelist.
