Yeah, that's the point of this thread. I'm way more interested in the bizarre, absurd, and downright silly artifacts of the rules. I know I wouldn't let a dead character have a 10% chance to spontaneously get up and move around.

Ultimately, I think it would be great to compile all of these and send it around as a D&D AP exam; a test in the "provide proofs for the following theorems" format. Give people a copy of the 3.5 SRD, and let them go to work.

True.

As another absurdity to add to the list, Wall of Force only stops breath weapons, creatures and most spells, it does not stop objects.

So, it would not stop arrows.

WotC addressed this issue in the FAQ, but according to RAW (since we do not have a definition of what force effects actually are), that's how it works.

But if you become an object when you die, does it mean attackers don't get +4 to hit your dead body because object's can't be prone? Or are objects prone by definition? Is a dead person harder to hit than a sleeping person?

Interestingly, in 3E, melee attacks against objects gained a +4 bonus. In 3.5, it's only +2.

So all objects in 3.5 are kneeling.

Funny, especially because that actually makes sense to me. Since objects are neither standing nor prone (or both), why not choose something in between the two....
 

You know, I was looking at it and it would appear that you can be a morningstar wielding duelist. More specifically, you can use the duelist's Precise Strike ability with said morningstar.

Yeah, it's not really as funky as the other things pointed out here, but worth noting I think.

What is so special about Karma ? +4 caster level for 10 minutes per day. Doesn't seem much.

A strand of prayer beads costs 25,800gp and has the following beads:

a bead of healing, a bead of karma, and a bead of smiting

The SRD tells us how to calculate the price of just one bead:

Reduce the price of a strand of prayer beads that is missing one or more beads by the following amounts: bead of blessing –600 gp, bead of healing –9,000 gp, bead of karma –20,000 gp, bead of smiting –16,800 gp, bead of summons –20,000 gp, bead of wind walking –46,800 gp.

So, 25,800 - 9,000 (bead of healing) = 16,800. 16,800 - 16,800 (bead of smiting) = 0gp. So you get your bead of Karma for free :D

Edit: Or, someone pays you 11,00gp to take a bead of healing off of their hands :lol:
