I do a feat per level. I've also been giving bonus feats that I choose based on what the characters are doing. This are flavor feats that few people ever pick like throw anything or endurance.

Pretty much ditto.

1) 1 Feat per level for everybody.
2) Fighter and Wizard bonus feats per the rules.
3) Bonus feats at DM discretion based on flavor

There are soooooo many feats that the standard feat progression is like giving a hungry dog a tiny scrape of meat while he peers through the window into the overloaded butchershop. The trick on the bonus feats is, I think, what Crothian said - flavor first. That and disallowing any building that threatens to get out of hand - again with the flavor thing.

I use standard feat progression, and all bonus feats, but I allow characters to trade in their ability score increase for 2 feats, and make it known that permanent ability enhancement is around in the game, and they will run into it. :)
I also give high starting ability scores (the characters get 18, 17, 16, 16, 15, 14)

I'm trying out several new things in my two games. One of them is giving a feat at every odd level (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th etc.) plus any normal bonus feats for human, fighter etc. It is...interesting but I don't know if I like it. I like the sound of the d20 Conan thing though (extra feat every 5 levels if you stick to the favoured class of the race/culture) and trading in the +1 ability increase for feats. I don't know if I'd allow it to be 2 feats though - that seems more than a +1 is worth.

I've seen the Feat Master - it gives something like 7 feats over 3 or 5 levels. You'd be idiotic not to take it if it were allowed.

If I remember correctly, it's a 5-level PrC with no requirements, that has no BAB, no high saves, no class skills, minimum skill points, a d4 HD, and three bonus feats per level.
