Here is how I do feats:

2 at first level

+ Racial feats (i.e. Humans +1)
+ 1 Background feat
+ 1 Talent (Arcana Evolved)
+ class bonus feats

1 feat at third level +1 feat per 2 levels thereafter.

And no Drawbacks unless they are well worked into the characters history.

Pretty much ditto.

1) 1 Feat per level for everybody.
2) Fighter and Wizard bonus feats per the rules.
3) Bonus feats at DM discretion based on flavor

There are soooooo many feats that the standard feat progression is like giving a hungry dog a tiny scrape of meat while he peers through the window into the overloaded butchershop. The trick on the bonus feats is, I think, what Crothian said - flavor first. That and disallowing any building that threatens to get out of hand - again with the flavor thing.

With that I gotta ask - does anyone play a straight up fighter? They are the one class that extra feats are all they get. Giving every class a feat per level sounds like the poor old fighter might as well be retired.

I've started a game at 2nd level with the standard rules. At 3rd the PCs of course will get a 2nd feat. I'm leaning towards possibly moving it up to every odd level, but I get to put the decision off until someone hits 5th, so I'm not too worried about it for now...

On the rare occasions I play D&D its 1 feat at each odd level.

This is three more over the career of the character.

my group

Feat per level. Up to two Flaws to gain two more starting feats. The party just hit lvl 15... and my character *still* feels "feat-starved" :p

I'm not sure I could ever comfortably go back to "standard" feat progression... painfullly slow.

Feat every level. Atm, only had a campaign go up to 8th level, so it hasn't horribly gotten out of hand yet. Players certainly seem to like it, though I haven't been able to play in a campaign with that rule. Current DM uses the regular rules without any exceptions [except for the one time a character gained a phobia of water and when he couldn't think of an appropriate benefit, granted me a bonus feat].
