Pathfinder 1E A gripey letter to Paizo

I know a lot of people get frustrated when their magazines arrive late (or don't arrive) but I urge you to treat the problem calmly. Magazine publishing is a tricky beast and delivery problems can be just as frustrating to the publisher (who typically has no control over the shipment and delivery of periodicals) as the customer. While I don't work at the Paizo offices I'm condfident in saying that they're working to make the delivery process flow as smoothly as possible.
The difference being, when we get frustrated, we are out the cost of the non-delivered magazine; when they get frustrated, they already have our money.

Just a thought.

It has been over six years now but a computer I ordered was overnighted to an address four states away. UPD delivered the computer --which was accepted -- and it took me a lot of effort to have them fix the problem.

I once I had a pacakge going to Germany delivered and signed for at an address in upstate New York. I still can't figure out how that happened (as the actual address and the address it was delivered to are no where near to being similar).

I guess I should count myself lucky then. DungeonmasterCal and I live in the
same state and I get every issue on time. In the two years since Ive resubscribed I never missed an issue, although maybe 2 were late (by more than a week).

Heck, we live 30 miles apart, at best...I'm in Conway. I have a couple friends in LR who get theirs on time, but then others, like Diaglo, post with the same problems I'm having. This is not an isolated incident, I'm afraid.

For those who seem concerned I'm buying rifles and scouting clock towers, don't worry. I used to manage a store in a large video rental chain, and I know how to deal with customer service from both sides of the issue. I'm not blaming any single person at Paizo or their business associates, but there is a problem. I've spoken to my post office (I know several of the workers there personally) and the months when my magazine doesn't appear, it never appears there, either. Somewhere in the chain, it disappears. I was once told by Paizo that the problem lies with their printing company. Evidently, there is a problem somewhere.

My problem is that I spend good money and expect service or goods in return. Once or twice a year I could deal with, but I have to complain about missed issues up to 6 times a year. Clearly, something is wrong somewhere, and I've been assured multiple times by my local post office it's not on this end. Nevertheless, I changed my receiving address to my home address, and promptly received #333 on time. Then, with #334, it begins again.

jeez... we can put a man on the moon....

The thing that really irks me is that they've said that they don't want to send any more replacement issues to you. So they're going to take the money and run, eh? I understand that they don't have the money to send out double issues to everyone, but if this problem is as "minor" an issue as they're making it out to be, I can't imagine that they're going to notice the cost of sending out the extra issues to the handful of us who aren't getting ours.

yeah...that bugs me, too. It does make me feel like I'm being "punished" for someone else's mistake.
