D&D General A Gruumsh Of A Different Type

B

ecause Gruumsh like Crom cares nothing for those who worship him, only those who Persevere in the Fury of Battle matter, not whining weaklings begging to be healed and bleating about morality

blood is fire so let it burn
If that works for you, heck yeah.

Good idea. Thinking a bit more about it, I think one of my problems is, who is then the barbarians' patron? Also Gruumsh?

Each people envision him differently - orcs believe he is their patron and thus he would embody orcish features, the Uthgart tribes believe he looks human, that the orcs are worshipping an imposter, a false god - perhaps even a demonic spirit.

I can see that. But I like Corellon as patron of elves, Moradin as patron of dwarves etc. Becomes a bit stretched if Gruumsh then is 'viewed as patron by orcs'. Hmmm..

I'm just thinking each believes the other has it wrong.
Kinda like with our Abrahamic Religions but more exagerated - or compare Hinduism's Triumvirate with Christianity's (3 in 1).
Perhaps the truth of it all to be discovered through the course of the campaign.
