A little thing called Generating Reviews.

By the way, Crothian, since you are also reviewing old stuff, I was just wondering if it would be okay to send you comps for our two older releases.

Thanks.

I just review what people send me. People though usually want to promote their new stuff and I understand that. So, send me the two older ones and I'll get to them more then likely.

Hey Crothian, do you have all our titles?

I'm pretty sure you have our newer stuff --Brainwashed, Fear Effects, Green's Guide to Ghosts, Innana's Kiss, Bloodlines-- but wasn't sure about Last Rites of the Black Guard and Weekend Warriors.

It's Innana's Kiss I don't have of yours actually.

Hi everyone,

I've updated my profile to include more information about myself and now sign all reviews with my real name (and not just my user name). Not sure it makes me more professional, but I'm happy to include something that can potentially add value.

I've done a handful of reviews for this review project so far and would be happy to hear any constructive criticism relating to their structure and style. I realise that my style won't suit every reader but I'm always hoping to improve, so any feedback that you might have is appreciated. As a matter of fact, I'm sure that every new reviewer would appreciate the feedback so that we can improve our reviews and feed the need of the masses.

Thanks.

For the record, I am lovin' this. I have been getting a stream of 3 star reviews, which is fine and dandy by me. As George Costanza would say -- "not showing off, not falling behind."

While some reviews can be unfair, in the end the customer can put aside these quips, not to mention it is just opinion. For example, if you say that my book is "too much crunch" and dock it a point for that, chances are that someone out there will buy it simply because it is too much crunch.

I've had that happen many times. One person's trash is another man's treasure. Of course, the opposite is also true. That just comes with the territory.

Having reviews gives me a nice sense of legitimacy. To have someone take time to praise or trash my book(s) is a nice feeling. Not to mention I love detailed reviews as it helps me polish future books. Most of us PDF publishers do not have time or money for playtesters, so to me I think the reviews are infinitely useful.

Good work folks. Keep it up.

The Le Games, We Enhance Worlds

I have to agree with Le here. Plus it is a very nice side effect to have my products featured on the front page of EN World for free like that. Reviews have not affected sales so far, but man have they helped with exposition and visibility! :)

Thirding The Le here. Crothian has really done some outstanding work getting this project off the ground and running hard. Hats off and many thanks.

Cheers
