Arjhan put his club away and reattached his shield to his arm. His spiritual club floated back to him to hover over his shoulder. He pulled out his spear.

“Basements are good places to hide,” he agreed with Ramas. He cast light on the end of his spear before edging the door open for a careful look.

As you look into the manor you immediately take note of the staleness in the air and the layer of dust that resides on everything. Despite the sun being high in the sky there is no light to within the manor, save for your lit spear. You can make out some stairs that seem to head up to the second floor at the edge of the light on either side.

“Stick together,” Arjhan murmured, holding his lit spear aloft so they could see, his spiritual greatclub hovering ready over his shoulder. He glanced around for any tracks in the thick dust. “Let’s clear this floor before going up or down,” he said, glancing around for the doors out of the entry hall. “Does anyone need healing before we proceed?” he asked. “If we pause for ten minutes I can pray.”
