"Take a look at the artifacts you have confiscated from the Shadow Thieves. There might be an hint from that. I'm ready to go too." tells Cliff.

The Sea Carpet

“Very well then, be on your way. The portal to your left will transport you to the market square. I’m sure you’ll find accommodations suitable for heroes of Althkatla as yourselves. And before you go, if you want to heal your wound, ask in the temple of Lathander, say Fremach sent you.” Says the mage, and waves you goodbye as you cross the magic gates.
In a blink you are again among the noise of the busy market square. The sun is setting down, so the group goes about, looking for an inn or for a temple of Lathander. Cliff knows about the place and leads the group to the holly place, where the priests perform magical incantations that close the wounds and mend the havoc the blades of the thieves have produced upon the heroes.

Reliefed of the pain of the flesh, and of the spirit thanks to the forced praying in Lathander’s temple, the group find a suitable inn, “Lucky Sahid”. The smell of food already fills the air as you enter the building, and there is already jester and drinking, music and dance in the place.

You take seat on an empty table, and have some food, which is quite tasty. Perhaps it was for the hunger, or because the fact that they spend all day fighting for their lives. In Chizz case, the fact that he basically fed on dry bread and water for the last week made any food taste good.

As if the beds were calling them, Cliff, Taran, Izera, Issia and Chizz got up for a round of good sleep.
In the morning, everyone got down for breakfast, and then, off to the docks. Dock number four was easy to locate, as was the ship, Sea Carpet. A blue vessel, with golden details. It was parked there, as the sailors went up and down, loading and downloading cargo crates. There is a massive dwarf, even as tall as a short human, who barks orders to the men. Next to him is a less impressive half orc, who wears the hat of captain. Chizz think he has seen him sometimes somewhere…

OOC: Well, fast forwarding to the ship. Feel free to roleplay as much as you want. Chizz can make an insight check to see if he recalls something about the captain.

Chzz remembers that man, not the boat or the giant dwarf, but he is damn sure he remembers Captain Kumar Iron Fang. A bloody pirate he was, the terror of any who sailed the seas. Apparently, Amn has enough money as to but this infamous man's loyalty. Or so it seemed. Tales speak of the way this man was, impassive, with apparently no emotion, no mercy, not a single feeling crossed this cold minded pirate. He never took prisoners, and the few ships that stud their ground in the battles at high sea where flagships, or big war vessels. And he was there, supervising a cargo load.

Taran gets a bad feeling over something inside the ship. Something he has yet not see.

[SBLOCK=OOC]My passive Insight is higher than your roll (22)...[/SBLOCK]

"It will be the first time I will be on a ship..." tells Cliff to himself, but somehow, he remembered the feeling of the of the fresh wind, the movement of the ship on the wave, and the feeling of a cold steel blade in the back before falling into the water of the port... that was one of the first flashback he had, back in his homeland. It had disturbed him and just remembering it put him in an uneasy feeling.

Cliff also detects something wrong about the ship, or more precisely, someone into the ship. The shifter narrows his eyes, as if trying to discern something far away. Ilmater spoke to him in that precise moment.
"Be wary my champion, there is one who will betray you, aboard that vessel. He has been following you, from your last life. The captain is oblivious to it's presence, a mere pawn in his game, victim of his lies and chimeras."

OOC: Waiting for Theroc and Keia to go on.

"The path is paved with suffering, and this ship is no exception. The captain is just a tool and the true source is among the passenger or the crew. Stay vigilant or we might not reach the island alive..." tells the paladin, before completing in his mind ...and it wouldn't be the first time it happen.
