Wow! That's a lot better than I did with most of an hour, a dictionary, and some random Internet anagram generator!Quickleaf said:"Most tremendous" could be confusing because of the order in which the letters appear (notice how E-R-T are in order in "heart"). Plus there's two T's which could trip things up.
I'm thinking "fame-worthy in merit" (M-E-R-T).
For a party who is too low level to cast fly? That's amazingly harsh. Especially since the PC has no warning, and (if he survives) no way to correct his error without just trying again. The pit alone would be likely to kill a number of PCs, considering the fall plus spikes plus centipedes, plus the fact that it's practically impossible to avoid. (Though there are probably a few characters who could make a DC 30 Reflex save at level 4, I've never seen one in actual play.)Quickleaf said:Upon stepping on Y...a burst of flame engulfs you -- 6d8 fire damage, DC 20 Reflex avoids but you fall into pit, DC 30 Reflex avoids entirely and you jump to a nearby pillar (M or H in this case getting hit by flame again!); falling into the pit is bad news...40 ft fall, pit spikes, and attacked by centipede swarm next round).

Characters are 15th level. We'll be using True20 rules (I presented it in d20 format for ease), so it might be possible for the adept to carry the group across the pit with Wind Shaping or Teleport/Apport. However, my group knows that I always make my puzzles provide information so that flying/teleporting around them is possible, but handicaps them later on.AuraSeer said:For a party who is too low level to cast fly?
