Well. I woud say that we're dealing with a necromancer of some sort. Quite possibly a gnome from the twisted "trap". Avan will scan Taben for lingering traces of evil. Avan will check the area where the "death field" is radiating from.

"I.... I thought I saw more than just the skull. Something Evil, very close..."

"I'll start detecting magic to prevent us from walking in such a trap again, I hope."


[OoC: Yvonne casts Detect Magic and starts looking around for magic aura's.]

Ember just looks around and follows her companions a bit, see how they are doing, observing everything, like she did back on the boat, after a while she says

"Okay, it's clear some evil guy is taunting us, so if somebody would just check for tracks leadng away from here, we'll be one our way!"

She'll then take to abserving again, urging the others on i9f they don't search the tracks.

Avan will continue to search. If he finds nothing at the point where the death feild in eminating from he will then check the remains of the town for signs of further traps.

"Avan, note that I said tracks leading AWAY, so goiing directly into the city to do that doesn't seem to be the best way to do that, you'd better search right over here and then go in circles to see if you find something."

ill start searching at the edge of the death circle to see any tracks.

"Ah, great, finally that does something for a change!" Ember says while leaning to a tree stump.

Late Morning

Pent will search the perimeter as well, but only after the trackers have been through the area. Pent is looking for any of value - coins, items, some food, whatever. He'll also keep an eye toward the forest edge for any movement from survivors hides or a potential threat.

Dead Grove
Late morning

After extensively searching the area, all that can be found is the trail of skinny humanoid foot-printes leading both into and out of the town, all in the same direction (As noted earlier, coming from and then going back to the North). The Tracker estimates something between 40 and 50 individuals left, though the marks coming in seem to be substantially less.. it appears they took prisoners.

Well seing that we searched the area compleatly. Lets follow the tracks. Avan gets on Sabal and awaits the others.
