A Teacher for Laynie: Mystery at the Academy (Part 2)

[Rystil Arden]

"Most definitely."

*Elektra, Vanitri, and Laynie head over to find Truman, and return his cloak. They fill him in on the details, and he looks horrified as well.*

"This is bad. Very bad. Much worse than those random adventures we've had in previous years..."

 

[Bront]

"Any more brillian insight Truman?"

 

[Rystil Arden]

*He rubs the eyepatch over his empty socket.*

"No, I'm sorry...though you needn't be so snippy..."

"Don't be mean to Mister Vanitri--there's bad stuff happening. Everyone's scared!"

"Laynie's right. Somehow, even though the unknown is scary, I'm even more afraid now than I was before I knew this. What can we do? How can we stop it? We're so impotent...Vanitri, did you get any maps to old catacombs where Sice experimented while you were there? From your vision, it seems like that may be where the philosopher's stone is."

 

[Bront]

"Just laugh it off Truman, though I was hoping you'd have some."

"No, I didn't grab anything in case someone came down there, and they did a little sooner than I thought they might. I can always try to go back, but that may take too much time."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Well, we're fairly aimless at the moment, really. Also, it's extraordinarily late, and you have an exam tomorrow, plus didn't you say Kharisa Valpyren is still in there? Why don't we think it over and sleep on it and take care of this tomorrow after class?"

 

[Bront]

"Sounds like a plan," Vanitri says with a timely yawn. "Though we're crashing at your place Lex, just to be safe."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"I've already got two of me over here in this double--it's not going to fit all five of us, at least not without most of you sleeping on the floor, and then you might not get a good night's sleep for exams."

 

[Bront]

"I wasn't talking about Truman, just me and Laynie, and I can manage on the floor well enough."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Oh, I see. Well, if you don't mind sleeping on the floor, I guess it's okay with me."

"Aww, I like sleeping on a bed."

 

[Bront]

"You can probably sneek in with Lex if you ask nicely Laynie. I'd sneak in too, but she's probably not in the mood right now," Vanitri says with a quick wink to Lex to let her know he's not quite serious.
