A Teacher for Laynie: Mystery at the Academy (Part 2)

"Uhhh, okay," Laynie reluctantly hands Vanitri the book as he heads out to the library again, "Mister Vanitri--you're going to a dangerous place again. I'm scared for you--can't you stay safe with me? And Lex?"

 

[Bront]

"Laynie, if I don't, then none of us will be safe. I'll be fine."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Are you sure? Please be safe, Mister Vanitri!" Laynie runs over and jumps up to give him hugs and kisses before eventually calming down and heading over to read a book.

*Vanitri sneaks off to Sice again and once again makes it to that locked door for the faculty lounge.*

 

[Bront]

Vanitri will wait it out again.

 

[Rystil Arden]

*This time it takes longer, but eventually a professor enters the faculty lounge again, and Vanitri follows once more. This time, he avoids the squeak of the floor, and he makes his way to the secret door, waiting for just the right moment to open it and sneak his way into the secret library.*

Vanitri will first find the ritual he saw earlier about the life transfer, and use the "Notebook" to check it out and see if it will grant any extra insight.

*The "Notebook" has only several notes and comments here, including certain parts that are underlined with comments like 'Fascinating', and 'Hmm...that might not be quite right'. None of it seems to be particular apropos to help in the current situation, though.*

If he can't find any notes on the location, he'll start looking for maps and testing them.
