Vanitri looks around, "Well, perhaps I stumbled onto a place I wasn't supposed to be. I'm quite sure no one should have been where you and I both ended up for example."

"Besides, I thought this was a dinner, not an interigation."

"The point is that you had no call breaking the rules, and there should be..."

"Hrrm...but the lad has a point. This is a dinner, not an disciplinary meeting...hmm? Besides, you just missed Humboldt's knock...it was not very loud," he turns to the door, "Please come in Humboldt."

*The door opens, and a man who seems even older than the Headmaster enters and walks slowly to take a seat.*

"Hrrm...hmm...so everyone is here now. And let us see what delicious food is in store for us," he waves his hand, and silver platters appear on the table, fine wines floating in pitchers to fill everyone's glass.

*The Headmaster waits for everyone to have a chance to start their food and sip some wine.*

"Hrrm...came here for a reason. Lad saved the Academy, hmm? Care to tell us the official story?"

Vanitri will tell the story about how they ventured into the dungeon/lab (Forrest/Dungeon? :p) their encounter with the snakes, and then most of his discussion with Elayna (excluding any mention of his vision through out it all). He'll talk about when Rayne arived, simply mentioning that in the fight the wall was broken and released those 2 beasts, and how he returned to fight them, with the Dark Lord's help. However, when the dust settled, and after he finished the creatures off, Laynie was laying on the ground and the Dark Lord was gone (which is simply omiting the part where the dark lord was there, so isn't technicaly a lie ;)).

"And so I grabed Rayne and Laynie and ran up the stairs." he finishes.

(OOC: Does he mention how the Dark Lord was inhabiting Laynie, or the book, or the conversation that stalled Elayna? How about the gold and gems he grabbed?)

OOC: He doesn't mention the part about the Dark Lord inhabiting Laynie (it was dark, his eyes could have been playing tricks), he will mention the notebook, since it was a library book (It was, wasn't it?), and he'll talk about the conversation with Elayna, at least mentioning the name she called him, and the talk about the student deaths and the threat to Laynie, and his volunteering himself (all the stuff that makes him seem heroic). And what gems? ;)

(OOC: No, it was not a library book--it was that book you found in the beginning with the nexus and the necklace, the one belonging to the 'Opal Princess')

(OOC: It is, in fact, also a spellbook ;))

"Hrrm...hmm...interesting. Kharisa? Rayne? What have you seen, hmm?"

"Investigating a fear of mine, I searched for the ancient Demesnes of Enigmas that Sice was said to keep. Once there, I was defeated and restrained nonlethally by the Dark Lord. Kilner let me free, and I met Vanitri as an ogre carrying Liore and the girl," Kharisa replies simply.

"Elektra came to see me in my office, and she said it was urgent. She led me into a secret passageway where we found...I can't remember but...a red glow, the philosopher's stone...a huge spellstitched monster, and...As far as I can remember, Vanitri's story is accurate from the point where I came there."

"Hrrm...well then, I think everyone can agree that this lad was a hero, yes? What reward would you wish for yourself?"

"Reward? Well, I'll admit I wasn't thinking like that, though I would think that any infractions that I may have commited in the process should be waved. Not that I'm admitting to anything still. Perhaps something to help in my studies might be nice, as well as some additional financial aid. And, if it's not too much to ask, perhaps some aditional financial aid for orphans. Perhaps the Duskrider Scholarship fund for Orphans if you will."

"But most of all, I came here for one thing, and that was to find someone to help teach and guide Laynie. She's a special little girl, who deserves to have every chance she can get to study magic. And she needs extra guidence because of her gifts. I fear she is already beyond me in magical ability, and soon I will be lost in trying to help guide her. I ask that perhaps you can help her in her journey where I can't. Teach her magic, and guide her in using it for the good of all."
