A Teacher for Laynie: Mystery at the Academy (Part 2)

*Vanitri dances with Sarya-Lex and then Kitty-Lex, and they engage in a delightful night of wine, song, merriment, and of course women.*

"So, did you bring me here to talk about anything in particular, Mister Hero-of-the-Academy?" Kitty-Lex wonders.

"We can help you study if you'd like, for instance. Having any trouble with classes?" Sarya-Lex adds.

'Well, I am behind in one, and Laynie was of little help in the flow diagrams," Vanitri says. "But who am I to pass up a chance to spend time with one of the most enchanting women in the Academy? Let alone two of her?"

"Flattery will get you everywhere," Kitty-Lex purrs.

"Well, it might work with a hussy like you, but I am beyond such simple conditioning," Sarya-Lex replies with mock disdain, sniffing.

"Ladies, no need to fight, there's more of you to go around than any man could ever deam of, but I certaintly will do my best to make your nights the best they can be." Vanitri says. "Besides, you haven't even had to worry about what to order, since you can have it all."

"Come now--I'm not that much of an eating enthusiast. Two meals should be plenty. I don't think we need all the food," Sarya-Lex teases.

"I don't know about you, but I'm Kitty, the amazing wonder-girl who can eat all she wants and the extra pounds go straight to her chest," Kitty-Lex retorts jokingly.

Vanitri laughs, "Indeed, you certaintly have kept your sense of humor. And no mater who you look like, it's the Lex inside that I truely admire."

"Thank you Vanitri, you're sweet," Sarya-Lex gives him a kiss on the cheek.

"Vanitri..." Kitty-Lex wonders, "Alden...he...he died for me. Why did he follow us with the cloak? Why did he do that?"

"Because I think he realy cared about you Lex. As a friend, or more, it realy doesn't matter, but he did care for you," Vanitri says. "The outward face was likely just his way of hiding it."

"Perhaps, or perhaps he just couldn't express how he felt to you, or perhaps even he did it because others would have expected him to," Vanitri says. "I don't know, realy. I never got a chance to meet him other than the once when he called me names. But I certaintly can't understand why anyone wouldn't wish to enjoy the company of your presance."
