Does anybody have a listing of all the acronyms paired with their long hand equivalent's that are used on this site? Sometimes people use crazy acromyns and I feel a bit too sheepish sometimes to ask what an acronym means, and would really like to just look it up.
I don't know if there's a list anywhere, but I'm sure that we can cover most of the common ones. And don't feel too bad; this question pops up every once in a while. So, in no particular order...
BBEG - Big Bad Evil Guy (or Gal): your game's primary villain, or a significant villain in the adventure
IANAL - I Am Not A Lawyer: disclaimer used when giving an opinion on anything of a legal nature (such as the OGL, or copyright law)
IYKWIMAITYD - If You Know What I Mean, And I Think You Do: nudge nudge, wink wink
WotC - Wizards of the Coast
3E/3.5E/4E - D&D Third Edition, Third Edition Revised, and Fourth Edition, respectively. The first two actually exist; 4E is a much talked-about and much feared anticipated revision to the D20 system, predicted to occur sometime between tomorrow and ten years from now.
TINARA - This Is Not A Real Acronym
That's all I can think up off the top of my head. I'm sure someone will post links to old thread on this subject, though.
EDIT: See? diaglo comes to the rescue!
