If I were a miller, since some part of milling grain involves pulverizing them, perhaps the adamantine would best be used that way (as the pulverizer)? It'd make a much finer, richer grain, by which I could easily undercut my competition.
Only in a modern marketplace where a product anywhere in the world could meet up with a buyer, no matter how obscure the product.

In the typical D&D world, the local lord might pay a little bit better for better grain from a better grainery, but that's hardly going to drive everyone else out of business, nor make said millner (who had to invest the money for the enhanced equipment up front) filthy rich.

I think this thread may be exaggerating just how good the metal is, though.

Gauntlets, Adamantine-toed Boots

Nothing says badass like being able to punch or kick through walls.

Our group bought a couple of adamantine pickaxes from a mining community we used as a base of operations.

I poked a hole in a wall with an adamantine rapier after an acid spell failed to melt all the way through. We were trying to reach an opponent that walled himself in with a single party member. Unfortunately for him, he was walled in with the tank/hitter, who could cast silence, and the enemy was an arcane caster.

Climbing claws, bites into anything, very ninja-esque

The wire saw is a good idea, I think the next time I play a character that carries lockpicks, the kit is going to have an adamantine wiresaw added in, possibly hidden on my person somewhere. Dunno if I'd want to try using it as a garrote though...umm, ouch.

Oh, also, powdered adamantine made into a grinding wheel, for sharpening other things. (don't ask how it got powdered, there's magic in the world. ;) )

mail gloves, like the kind they use for protecting the hand while cutting things, filleting fish, etc.

Awl.

Dentures.

Hip replacement.

Crampons.

Cleats.

And I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the admanantine spoon.
