Adamantine - X?

I'd have to go with plough blade, especially if you live in a place with rocky soil or very hard ground.

A grinder. There are all sorts of things it would be impractical to grind because of their hardness, but when that's taken out of the equation...

A file might be good, as well, for similar reasons.

A lumbermill saw. It's expensive but only needs to be made or sharpened once.

An adamantine plough may not be much use since anything you needed to plow it through ain't growing much unless the seeds are adamantine plants. :)

I think the chisel, axe, pick axe would be most useful. in general every day life or like a log splitting wedge for building. Maybe a saw mill blade for lumbering.

The same benefits as going from wood to stone to bronze to iron to steel... admantine would just be the next on the list

The real-world order seems to have been (wood and stone) to ????? to steel to (iron and meteoric steel) to bronze to iron to steel.

Steel was in use at the very dawn of recorded history, it appears. Then whatever caused the massive migration out of Asia happened and blacksmiths started guarding their secrets. Bronze was rarer, but much easier to work with if you could find the raw materials to alloy.
