Dane takes a quick look over his shoulder at the ogre as he regains his footing.
Ye next big boy!
The dwarf tries to perform a backhanded swing on the Oni, hoping to put it down for good while he ends the swing slashing into the ogre's foot.

Georg hears the warning from Incarnation and recognizes the arcane words on his lips. He mutters a few words himself and spreads his arms, flames engulfing the Oni. He shouts
HYA! at the horse before shifting away behind Raiyek.
The magma beast far away seems to be loosing its form, melting away. It makes a swipe at the Oni nearby but misses. Georg's strength seems to returns to him as his boots shimmer in the heat.

Incarnation waves aside Georg and Raiyek his free hand while continuing to spin the fiery ruin around him, barely missing the wagon.
The fire burns all, be wary! The warning was given, but he could no longer contain the spell. The bolt slams into the haunt with explosive force, burning all around it!
[sblock=OOC]Fiery Bolt again:
Ref 27 (Hit), 22 fire and 11 fire to all adjacent.[/sblock]
Raiyek laughs at the oni, shrugging off its attack and the wave of flames from Incarnation's spell.
"You'll need to hit a little harder than that. Too used to foes who don't fight back?" He grits his teeth, praying silently to his goddess. Golden light bathes his sword as he comes back with a fierce counterattack. The monster jumps back, but not quite soon enough, suffering a cut that burns with divine vengeance.
"I will vanquish you today!" the paladin yells, ignoring the small flames lingering on his cloak and his minor wounds.
[sblock=OOC]Take 10 damage from fiery bolt; 5 to temp hp, 5 real damage.
Minor: use Virtue - burn a surge and gain 15 temp hp.

Hadrak is a bit miffed at having missed. But there is an old dwarven saying; if at first you miss the nail with a hammer, use a sledge hammer on your second try. All right, it might not be a old saying. It quite possibly isn't even dwarven.
This time, the beam of light is three feet large and slams hard into the oni night haunt.

Seeing the nimble oni dodge all their attacks but the wardens, Rurdev grins as the grind of combat begins. They had played their cards, but victory would be theirs.
The shifter lashes out with the axe of lightning with an sweeping side arm strike, it slams into the oni's arm, blackening the flesh to where it burns right through. Not satisfied, he brings the still-steel other weapon around, in a vicious overhead chop, the keen blade cuts deep into the oni's neck as it falls, severing it's evil head.

Rurdev mentally commands his mount, urging it forward and around the ogre. The mount barely stops as it charges toward the giant, and Rurdev hacks with his lightning axe at the ogre's midsection. The arcing electricity scorches the ogre, making it roar in pain.

The oni numbers are fading fast yet none seem to tire or dismay. The oni beast rips the magma creature straight through the middle than charges down the field towards Raiyek, while the overwhelmed Ogre slams his club into the confident Rurdev, not dealing nearly as much damage as he likely should.
The Oni leader only smiles at Raiyek's taunts. "Thartharus welcomes me home. We shall see how it welcomes you." As it speaks its breathy vapor again assaults our heroes and Raiyek and Incarnation find themselves in a stupor. The oni slams its staff into the dazed paladin.
The warden runs at the ogre and sizzles a cut across its chest, but gives a worried look towards the other group.

There's a hill toward the top of the map, as well as couple of large boulders off map.
The thick black lines on the sides of the wagon represent the top cover on the wagon. They block Line of Sight.
Moving in and out of the wagon cost an additional square of movement.
