Rain may have had sword in hand, but she was lost in thought regarding the reactions of the humans and evil fey in the glade; even then her concentration was broken by the reception that the fey gave to the group's sudden appearance. Zuri was better prepared and alert, cocked hand-crossbow and dagger at the ready.

[sblock=What Wat senses]Although Wat focuses his vision on the pool his hearing takes in the soft music plays from the crystal bowers in the corners of the garden, where tiny crystals arc embedded in the walls. Cushioned seats carved in the walls here invite rest and sleep. Music here sounds just like the song of the crystals from the Crystal Cave, but here in the Feywild, instead of tinkling crystalline notes, it seems as though a chorus of tiny voices is humming this melody. Wat determines the music is magical, and it contains a restful, healing charm. Taking a brief respite here could energize you and your companions.

The pool reflects the palace perfectly. Your reflection is familiar, but it is an idealized version ofyou, the way you might wish to be depicted in a portrait. As you look on, you begin to feel as though you are engaging in a staring contest with another actual person.

The flowerbeds that flank the pool contain blooms of every color and kind imaginable, arranged in pleasing patterns and covered in butterflies. [/sblock]

Zuri takes aim at the Boggle on the edge of her short range and lets fly with a bolt; it strikes true and hangs there in the creature's abdomen. She then edges out cautiously to leave some room behind her for later movement.


Rain sees the axeman at the other side of the pool and braces herself to receive his charge.

GM: Ummm ... The maze wasn't actually a skill challenge as such, so technically the boggle encounter was your first encounter today. But it kind of was, enough so for me in any case ... so let's say yes, you can have a milestone action point.
 

Sir Flibbertigibbet blows a loud blast on his war horn--during which time Daphne trots out in front of him, looking bored--and then, brandishing his brightly glowing sword, flits up several feet and comes screaming down out of the air to smash into the boggle in an enormous shower of ice.

[sblock=OOC]Unfortunately Zuri needs to be in melee combat (melee 1 range) to set up sneak in the attack. She can't do that from a distance with her xbow. So she still has access to the power as she wasn't able to use it this round.

So 33 dmg from the crit by my count. 1d10+9+1d8 Maxed = 27 dmg +6 crit dmg dice = 33 dmg

Zuri has dealt 18 dmg thanks to First Strike

Rain has not yet dealt his 7 dmg as he rolled 6 initiative and acts after the bad guys

Total dmg on Boggle = 51

Boggle is bloodied but still alive
