Draglin quickly dispatches the final dragonman, who crumbles into ashes with only a little flame. Indeed the only foe that "remains" is the body of the robed dragonman enchanter.

Dragonman Magus
His body is brittle and easily crumbles at a touch. On closer inspection it is similar to a dragonborn male, but with nonfunctional wings and a long tail. The claws and feet are less humanoid and the snout more pronounced. The clothing and staff remain as they were along with a small pouch. Inside the pouch are more ritual items and an iron key.

[sblock=Arcana 20] The ritual seems to be of transmutation, and the bits of egg remaining seem to have been absorbing energy in an method seeming to accelerate growth, but in an abnormal way.[/sblock]

[sblock=Nature 20] The dragonmen seem to be closer to dragons than dragonborn. The egg is obviously a dragon egg, but not close to hatching and maybe not even fertilized when it was smashed[/sblock]
Cells
These three cells seemed lived in with straw mats, food detritus scattered about and a stray gold piece or two. Perhaps occupied by the dragonmen, there is not nearly the food and treasure you would expect was stolen from the keep above.

Doors
One large door leads from the room. Unlike those which Draglin burst open so far, this one is ironbound and though old is very sturdy. It is closed with a large lock built into the door and though rusty it has been recently oiled. The cell door can be opened and closed easily, since though they are solid and wooden, they have iron reinforcing them as well. Though their latches and exterior locks have long rusted away.

OOC: The first combat encounter is over, though the adventure is not yet at an end. I am holding back Rewards for now, though a short rest is obviously in order. Please post your use of Healing Surges (though for each two uses of Inspiring Word, Max will need a short rest to use again. You can then continue with your investigation In Character

Auntie Mab has no insights about the dragonmen or the contents of the magus' pouch, preoccupied as she is with the condition of her wilden friend. "Oh poor Devinihm! Reduced to nothing but bugs in the end. What a cruel fate for one of the faeriefolk. Auntie Mab shall see you avenged in the end. I will banish the greebles with my great and formidable arcane-...," her rant ends abruptly as the swarm begins to coalesce once again. "Devinihm?," she says, sounding bewildered but hopeful.

OOC: I didn't really run a skill challenge for the rewards/success. Like the past and upcoming use of skills you get other benefits to success (of course some are traps with XP values and some are simply barriers)

Bravura Presence

When an ally Max sees spends an action point to take another action to use it as an attack, the ally can choose to take advantage of this feature before the attack roll.

If the ally chooses to do so and the attack hits, then the ally can choose to do the following after the AP action:
* make a basic attack +1 to hit (due to feat: improved bravura)
or
* make a move action as a free action +1 added to ally's speed for movement (due to feat: improved bravura)

If the AP attack misses, the ally grants CA to all enemies TENT.

Clearly worth the risk :)
