Adventure: Hey! That's Not Wayne's Basement! (DM: H.M.Gimlord, Judge: Ozymandias79)

[sblock=OOC]Still waiting on Rujah. BTW. Rujah. You're dazed. I forgot to put this in the status block, but it is a result of the Dazing Strike that was dealt to you by Bandit 2. As it is, this limits you to a single action: Move, Minor, OR Standard. Take as many free actions as you like, though ;).[/sblock]

Font of Life gives me a save at the beginning of my turn. I'm still debating actions. I can push the one bandit towards the noble, but might end up hitting Dayna with the blast.[/sblock]

Rujah stumbles a bit after taking that fourth hit, hardly realizing his allies were taking out enemies before his head clears, leaving only one bandit left standing, aside from the noble. Raising his hammer with a snarl, the Dragonborn charged. "Vataka ghoros ve!" His voice bellowed in his native tongue. As he swung, the haze in his mind cleared, the Dragonborn fully able to defend himself.

The thief leader takes his feet off the table, his tone becoming impatient, “Devor! Take care of this cur, and when you’re done with that, be sure to get the guy with the glowing sword. He’s the one who got Lars!”

“I’s the scaley bloke’s got me upn’a fuss, but you’sa boss.” The bandit beats Dayna over the head with his mace, “Take ‘achya mut!” Dayna’s worry for Talon is the last thing she remembers before shadows take the vision from her mind’s eye. He attempts to snake around Rujah’s protective stance converging on Riardon, but he's too slow. Rujah's hammer swings, taking the banit's head off. Without the benefit of its neural center, the bandit's body flails erratically, spilling blood as it falls to the floor.

At that moment, a door opens behind Riardon, and another man steps out from an adjoining room. "Die wyrm!" Riardon spins and parries the mace, but is struck full in the face by one of three sling bullets, smashing his cheekbone and knocking him, unconscious to the floor. The other two speed across the room slamming in to the pile of smoldering furniture in the stairway. Rujah's jaw drops in denial as he sees his friend fall. His eyes follow the trajectory of the bullets to their source. A halfling ducks behind an open door at the far end of the room, "FAESSI! Confn spical tenpiswo vur origato wer edar sone wux waph lae coi hethaic douta yuidm!"

With an earsplitting screech, the drake reappears from behind the tapestry (The same one through which the boss-man had run just moments before). Going more for speed, than aim, the drake attempts to avenge the death of the fallen bandit, but the screech was loud enough to jar Rujah from the paralysis of his disbelief. The drake, realizing he cannot reach beyond the dragonborn's hammer retreats back through the flap in the curtain.

Rujah falls to his knees. The very one he sought to protect lies dying on the floor. "Riardon! Can you hear me!?"

The third bandit stands over the fallen Eladrin, yelling back to the Halfling behind the door, "Keep me covered, Smoc. Were not done in here!" He hefts his mace in anticipation of the fight that, for him, has only just begun.

Rujah gets one of his Warden's Fury or Warden's Grasp usage on bandit 2, right? Since he hit Riardon right next to Rujah and was marked?[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Dang! I keep forgetting that Rujah can mark as a free action! The short answer to your question is YES. The long answer is how. It begins, actually, at moment 1 when the bandit at F23 attacks Dayna. Post your action at that point in the game, but be careful what you wish for. This means I can retcon ALL subsequent actions.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC/Tactics]
Anyone have any suggestions when/which Mark-violation action I should take against Bandit 2? Granted, I honestly don't think it will make much difference in this case, since the bandit will be able to reach and attack Riardon either way, I'm just not sure how major an effect the retcons will have.[/sblock]

[sblock=tactics]
I think what the DM is saying is that given his choices, we made out pretty good. You might want to let is slide. IC may not be so kind the second time around.

Hm... true, but I could still hit the bandit...[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC; HM]
HM, Bandit 2 did provoke the Warden move, right? If I don't use it after he hits Dayna, I can use it on the bandit after he hit Riardon?[/sblock]
