*The group decides to see how well they could do, travelling for one day and foraging separately along the path as they go.*

*During the day, they pass a few travelers on the way to Orussus, as well as an old peddler and several gentle deer, which they kill (the deer, not the peddler, although he does look tasty too).*

*Somac catches the deer, two rabbits, and a pheasant, as well as finding several fortuitous clutches of wild berries (enough food to feed 7 people).*

*Scun finds three squirrels and a family of quails (enough to feed 5 people).*

*Anton almost manages to nab something, but his increased speed foils his attempts.*

*Rillian manages to nab a squirrel for himself.*

*A'jardin doesn't even come close.*

*Tandi does not catch anything either, nor do Cade riding on Alton or Dagummit, slowly but steadily plodding along, as is the dwarven way.*

And I had Peddler Fricasee on the brain...

Tandi marches along, in the middle of the group simply happy to be adventuring on her own. Well, not truly on her own, but it was her choice to go and her choice how to do it. She smiled to herself. She wasn't too surprised she couldn't catch much of any wild animal, but that's why she carries her tack in the back. Munching on a cracker, she calmly and quietly takes in the scenery around her.

After a day of travelling and foraging, A'jardin tiredly helps prepare the bounty that Somac and Scun acquired to make up for his not being a help foraging. This is why I keep spare rations in my pack, I'm absolutely hopless at woodcraft. With such great hunters in the group though, we should manage quite well until the desert.

OOC: I found the official SRD DC for a foraging check at full speed here. It's quite high, 40 and providing supplies for one other party member per +2 by which the DC is exceeded. The other epic usages for skills are pretty sweet.

Scun grins. "All in time. Work with me tomorrow and we will find more than just a squirrel. Mongrel has a way of providing for those who are in need and know how to look."
