ooc: Rystil's been gone. After posting millions of posts per day, give him a break. ;)

OOC: Today's his Birthday, but he also was talking about a trip out of the country for a while around this time, though I thought it was later and we would have gotten a warning.

He also had to replace his computer, so could still be sturggling with that.

ooc: Didn't know he had to replace his computer--he was going to be busy in August, but I was under the impression he could still post once in a while.

(OOC: I'm still here, though suffering from a few computer-related issues. I will be in Turkey from this coming Saturday til the 26th, though I'll bring my laptop in case Turkish hotels have internet that will let me hook up--wouldn't count on it, but who knows)

*As Rillian and Somac walk all the way out of the Town Hall from the waiting room, Jiigral has already progressed to the rest of his hobgoblins, reaching their horses at the stable.*

*As they ready their mounts to leave, Rillian exits the building and calls out.*

*Jiigral must hear Rillian, but he chooses to ignore the fighting words. He spurs his mount and makes ready to leave, thinking himself finished with these annoying humans now.*

(OOC: Meanwhile...post for the others who didn't walk out on the Mayor coming soon!)

*The mayor smiles slightly, and speaks:*

"Hello my friends. A band of true and honest adventurers like you is a sight for my sore eyes. I am Lucas Birch, and I am the mayor of Briarton, but I guess you already knew that. I'm sorry that the town is in a bit of a shambles, but I guess you could see that we've been having a lot of trouble lately...An orc band invaded the town and burned half of it to the ground with their huge ally, looting what they could and kidnapping some of our women...But, I'm sure you all must have a lot on your minds--there is no need for you to dwell on our woes when we can all try to keep hope by holding a great feast in your honour. Really, hope is the best thing to help my people survive, I think...With a grave threat on our horizon, it may be all we have left."

"What seems to be the problem? Did not those hobgoblins solve all your other issues?" Cade asks, somewhat concerned.

"Grave threat on the horizon?" Anton looks confused. "The orc band and the large one, I think, were taken care of. What other thread is there? How many were in the orc band?"
