The guards react with ferocity and put both Renquist and Dante on the defensive, staggering them with ferociouis attacks.

The gnome lauchn fire darts at Rocco but the stalwart dwarf shurgs them off. Not so with the spined devil, though, who surges into the middle of the room and rains barbed spikes on him. Rocco feels poison running throug his vein.

Rocco points his axe at the devil. He then turns and charges away toward the guard behind the group. It seems that despite his brave words, the poison is affecting him as he moves slowly and his swing is imprecise.

[sblock=Mal, AC question] Mal, can you check the attack roll versus Renquist please? It looks like 20 vs. AC, which I might be reading that wrong. When not bloodied, AC is 21 thanks to the Agile Plate armor. Maybe a miss? :) [/sblock]

[sblock=Renquist]Yes, a miss, my bad. Therefore not dazed. Therefore in theory there would have been a Opportunity attack from Renqist when the guard left except of course he wouldn't have done it if Renquist wasn't dazed. Ugh.

Let's say there was an OA and you missed or there were no OA because of a special nifty one time power! Seriously, that's why I like VBM. The retcon would have been much more painless.

Just go forward knowing you are not hurt or dazed.

The guard's mighty strike seems to be heading straight for Renquist's head, but his new plate mail allows him that much more reaction time and he dodges at the last second. When the guard drops back, Renquist is in no position to make a swing.

"Don't be fleeing quite yet."

Renquist strides around the west aspect of the room so he can engage both the guard and devil. The spined devil feels the dark judgement of Lauto focus on it.

With a dark holy energy encompassing his blade, Renquist forcefully smites the devil.

Ibram glares at the gnome with utter disdain. "The only good gnome, is a dead gnome." With a flash and raise of his hand, Ibram shoots out a wisp pulse of black and white energy.

Renquist is taken in pincers by his enemies and he deftly dodge the guard but is severely raked by the devil.

The gnom moves back toward the center of the room and sends a fiery bolt that dazes Nementah.

The guard fighting Rocco gets a good hit in.

His first blow against the guard misses.

Renquist shifts closer to his companions, next to the gnome. He focuses Lauto's judgement on the gnome. "Leave the Fey lady alone."

Unfortunately, this swing also misses.

Going to use majestic word(1/2) on Renquist, that's my first one. He heals for his surge value +5 and I will shift him to K8 west of the gnome.[/sblock]

"Come on lads, have we come this far to be stopped by a scum of the Earth demon and a gnome?!" Ibram springs forward holding his sword high in a two hand arcing swing. He cuts a large portion of robe from the gnome and a stream of blood flows from the area cut away. As the gnome doubles over, Ibram takes a few seconds to summon a healing spell for Renquist. "I know you move pretty fast for an undead Renquist, but if you could, move faster please!"

One guards falls under the blade of the heroes. The other has his hands full with Renquist and can't overcome his defenses. The gnome uses his fey magic to become invisible and teleports away but his follow up spell is innacurate. The devils corners
