Adventure: Into the Wild

[sblock=ooc]
Max bought a throwing shield and a pair of "surefooted" boots. He's broke now. How much does a potion of water breathing cost? ;)

Are you asking for our wishlists for this adventure? If so, you do a great job of picking items for max. :)

If you can make a token out of Ashir's head in this image, that works.

Renquist stands steadfast, wondering how fast full plate armor would pull a humanoid down to the bottom of the sea...

[sblock=ooc] I didn't see water breathing potions to buy, do they exist? [/sblock]

Haruka makes a noise of mild annoyance, "So much for being here for our celebration. Does anyone know exactly how we charter a ship?"

[sblock=ooc]
No potions, just a ritual...too bad Ashir just gave up rituals... *doh*

Hmm, I wonder if Haruka's a bad influence on Ashir. Anyway, if you are interested in not drowning, I would recommend the Floating Shield, which protects fairly well against that sort of thing. It's also very cheap, although not particularly versatile. Hmm, an arm slot item that helps you float. Is that a shield or a pair of water wings?

Also, just to be clear, we don't actually have a ship yet, right? We still need to coerce someone into ferrying us to this wretched isle.

Finally, I have a new and, well, I guess just new token for Haruka.[/sblock]

The heroes ask around for a few days and finally find a captain willing to take them where they need to go; Kalidra, the elven captain of the Theurgeme.

They agree on a reasonable price and off they go at high speed. Theurgeme is an enchanted ship with arcane powered wheel paddles. She is capable of taking you were you need to go in just under two days.

The ship is quite fascinating. A few hours after leaving port, the adventurers wander off around Theurgeme.

Haruka is in the cargo hold, inspecting the arcane engine, asking occasional question to the chief enchanter in charge of keeping the ship running.

Nementah and Renquist are sitting at the dinner table, snacking and chatting in company of a sailor.

Max in alone on the main deck, enjoying the sea breeze and staring at the horizon while crewman go about their task.

Ashir, Rocco, Dante and Virgil are having a pleasant conversation with the captain and her navigator on the quarterdeck.

Everything is going smoothly yet something seems off to those with a keen instinct...

GM: Haruka makes a perception check

Nementah and Renquist make an insight check

Max makes a perception check

Ashir, Dante and Rocco make an insight check

Yeah, sure, I could have rolled those checks myself to save time... except I ain't quite ready so it'll keep you buys. ;)

Roll initiative while you are at it.

I know what you're thinking. I'm worried about that as well. Max bangs the flat side of his sword against his plate armor. Hopefully the water is not too deep. Max states with a smile on his face. The warlord then gives Renquist an affectionate forarm shiver to the back, then turns away to find a place to sit so that he can apply a wetstone to his weapon, a task that he has done many times before. Hell, I probably do this in my sleep he says to himself, causing him to laugh outloud.

Sorry for not calling in before. Yeah, if we're going onto a ship, Rocco buys Floating shield, will update wiki today.
EDIT: wiki updated

Rocco is becoming sharper around people, now that he's not with exuberant shadar-kai. His hackles raise as he talks with the captain and observes foreign sea. But he misjudges the source of the trouble and is fairly slow to react.

Insight; Init (1d20+3=18, 1d20+3=7) - Insight 20; init 8 - forgot to account for level up (didn't update stat block :( )

Nementah is not particularly worried about falling into the water, plant matter floats and sharks don't eat plants.

As she comes toward the party, they have to take second look to recognize her as her face and visible skin are stark white, as if she's under the snow instead of vibrant green and bark-like brown they knew before.

In the lower deck with the sailor she's talking about rigors of sea travel and asks about aspects of nature on the sea. Winds, rain and storms. Waves. Beasts and animals, plants on high sea. Everything average sailor would find either boring or obvious.

By his changing of subjects she gets a good read out.

Insight, Initiative (1d20+5=25, 1d20+3=7)

OOC: I'll need to show her as people person in the future. She's not a leader, but reads people like a book (last fight she also got Insight right :)) This time it's a CRIT. Too bad it doesn't happen in combat on attacks

OOC: Change Aspect of Nature to Voyage of the Ancients
