Adventure: Just Before Nightfall (DM:johnmeier1, Judge:Ozymandias79)

[sblock=OOC] Sorry forgot to note, Murphy is around A10. Coming from the top definitely, but you can choose where by the path. Note due to sun setting in the west 4 squares adjacent west to trees and under trees are in shadow. Other areas are in sunlight still, you may have trouble crossing the bridge. I will have to look at the power. May be able to do "shadow" in maptools, but not until tomorrow morning.[/sblock]

Then I will move as close as I can without risking loosing my hidden status. If Murphy can't overhear, no problem, he'll return to the group and let them know what he sees at least.

Staying on the far side of the creek, Murphy sees a small group around a campfire just off the path. There are at least 3 figures there and after listening for a few minutes, he hears the voice of Ackurno over the rush of nearby water. How long do we have to wait! Before a shushing sound quiets him.

Satisfied he at least has seen the others, Murphy will return back to his allies, dropping his invisibility once he's a bit further down the path in order to get back sooner, after out of sight he'll run back to the inn.

[sblock=ooc]
Murphy will want to let the others know what he's seen. Double Run once safely far down the path.

Opening the door to the inn, Murphy moves quickly to his allies.

"Friends, they mean to waylay the missing woman and the man, likely killing her in the process. They are here for the mysterious man, and care little for the girl. We cannot allow them to just casually murder her. I followed them back to their camp, we can ambush them. Tonk we can sneak up on them while the others distract." Murphy suggests quietly, catching his breath from the strenuous activity.

Once Murphy is finished delivering his report Dextyr pushes himself up from the table, his chair hitting the floor behind him.
"Then our path is clear. We must spring the trap ourselves and waylay the ambushers so they cannot harm Isabelle. I like your plan as well, good work Murphy."

Dextyr grabs his gear and heads for the door, eager to disrupt the would-be ambush.

[sblock=OOC]
I agree that Tonk and Murphy should do the sneaky stuff while Dextyr, Shorrin, Janus and Larinza walk up the road and spring the trap.

[sblock=OOC] KenHood and renau1g can use the previous maps to give me their approach and positions. By the time you get to the area again, it is later so the shadows extend 5 squares to the right of each tree. Everyone else can just give me the "marching order" you will use when moving down the path. Remember you are starting at the top, Row A, and moving down the map.[/sblock]

"Alright, lets get these guys, their attitude makes me sick. Tonk, Murphy, head out first, get ahead and sneak, we'll come along behind and provide the bait. I want a 2x2 formation for the remainder of us. Shorrin, your in slot 1, front left, with Dextyr in slot 2 to your right. Janus, stand behind Shorrin in slot 3 where he can defend you, and I'll be in slot four to the rear of Dextyr from that position I can attack any melee combattants on any of you. Alright, lets do this."

[sblock="OOC"]Naturally, that's just in character orders, she does aspire to be a general, gotta command the troops. It is also my suggestion of marching order as well. With me and Shorrin at alternate corners we can protect the arcane characters, and with my glaive the 2x2 formation gives me the best oppertuinities.[/sblock]

As Dextyr was about to suggest their traveling order, Larinza took charge and laid out the plan. Dextyr's eyes widened as she barked orders with confidence and certanty.
Wow....she sounds just like dad used. She's definitely got Moxie......I like her. Dextyr thought to himself, a slight smile creeping onto his face.

"Give us a few minutes head start, we'll need it to get into positions" Murphy asks.

[sblock=ooc]
Ok, so Murphy's planning to get as close as he can using normal means of stealth (rolled 26 in the room) to I11 or so. After that use Shade form, asking Tonk to give me 5 minutes before he continues, to move across bridge (should have cover from the trees, if not let me know) to W5 behind the rock. From there move to AF6, and spend the necessary rounds to drop shrouds on the three people there (4 x 3 equals 12 rounds), plus if I see more people do the same for them. They're unaware of the shrouds because of Hidden Insight feat. Sustain the shade form as a minor each turn. Draw crossbow and be ready for the attack.
