[Adventure] Kingmaker (DM:renau1g; judge: garyh)

"Why my good tiger-man and devil-thing, it was nothing but a ruse, a simple threat if you will. It was not us that launched the first attack, perhaps I should accuse you of banditry. After all, we were attacked unprovoked by a group lying in wait" the man retorts incredulously.

Faustus, Tiefling Avenger

"Alright, that's it! I say we kill him NOW!"

OOC: The next thing out of this ... this ... person's mouth had better be a worthwhile clue or bit of news, or Faustus is going to make his head into a golf ball and do his best Tiger Woods impersonation. If I was sure he could get away with it, he'd assault the rotter right now.

(OOC: Thanks, renau1g!)

The Tiefling hefts his maul, smiles evilly, and says, "I gather then that you refuse to repent of your banditry?"

When the druid hears unrepentant banditry he recalls that they have been charged to kill villains such as this. "I don't see how he can stay in this territory in a way that we can be sure that he will not keep this up. Unless, none of the other bandits trust him.
So I say, we either kill him like the charter says or he shows other the bandits that he is working for us; we should probably mark him too. What say we take out an eye, that would make him "One-Eye the Rat" or somesuch; it would also mess up his shooting? I guess we could take both eyes or both hands that might make him repentant.
" The young half-elf continues, "so I guess there is are three ways he can stay, we can make him repentant by disabling him, he can stay as a corpse, or stay as a marked traitor."

[sblock=question for DM]
Sorry for jumping into your adventure - hopefully I'm not too disrupting.

I'm running a table-top version of Kingmaker, also in 4e; see Paizo forums:
4e Conversion
I've gotten as far as converting Stolen Lands, and partially completed River Runs Red.
I'm just wondering how much you have converted? I'm hoping to save any duplicate effort if you have converted more than what I've done.
Thanks

The man's face blanches at the mention of maiming, he stammers "Please... I've got a wife at home and kids, my youngest, Billy, has a terrible sickness, I needed to get gold fast and with those damn nobles in Restov not giving a damn about us peasants I did the only thing I could, try to take a bit of their gold. I never hurt nobody, if you take away my bowmanship, I won't be able to hunt to feed my family, please sirs, you seem like honorable sorts... I ... ok I can tell you a bit about our group if you swear that you won't do any further punishment to me"

Faustus, Tiefling Avenger

"Aww, stop! You're breakin' my heart here! Hey, if we just kill him I'm sure someone will look after his widow and young ones, or they might actually be better off! Yeah, that's it, we'll be doing them a favor by killing this worthless piece of rancid meat! Can I kill him now, or would you prefer to take his eyes out first?" :)

Ruarc's craggy face hardens at the bandit's words.

"You an' your kind took my wife and children without a second thought. Whoever and wherever your family are, if they even exist, I'm thinkin' they're better off without you." He turns to Faustus. "Kill 'im."

Faustus, Tiefling Avenger

"Ruarc, one thing -- You never, never ever have to tell me twice!" And, with that the tiefling rapidly lays into the bandit full force.

OOC: Using Faustus's Avenging Echo encounter power -- +6 vs. AC; 2d6+4 damage -- Avenging echo vs. bandit with attitude (1d20+6=11, 2d6+4=8)

Regretfully, these last few moments of non-blood-shedding activity have allowed a bit of rust to from on Faustus's moving parts. "Hold still you sorry excuse for a dungheap! Let's get it over with. I won't lie and say it'll hurt any less, but it'll be a lot quicker!"
