Riardon

Riardon surveys the situation. He puts back his sword to grab his new javelin and calls: "Up Rujah, no time to sleep. She is just a dragon." Once the dragonborn stands again, he adds: "Hit her hard!"

[sblock=ooc]Sorry, a little confused:

So who is at B20, and why are they lit up like a friendly? I am guessing that's where Rujah was? And some of the "friendly" lights seem a bit off - but we should just go by where the character is, right? Sorry, this only really matters for AOE folks...[/sblock]

[sblock=rolls]Nature & Insight: 20, 11

Well guys, I'm saying the dragon is officially aggro'd - what do you think? Since both sides are now officially beating the crap out of us, I'm just going to go ahead and cut loose on everything. No reason not to that I see![/sblock]
Mervin smiles politely at the kobold in front of him, while the flaming sphere moves into position near the giant kobold & dragon sandwich - the heat of which begins to scorch everything. "It was fun, ta-ta!" Mervin says as he is whisked away by his orb and into position. With a reserve of strength he blasts for a mighty spray of dizzying color... and manages to barely catch half the crowd.

[sblock=ooc]minor: sustain sphere

move: move sphere to -A24; anything starting its turn next to the sphere (defender 5, 1, and 3, and the dragon) takes 10 fire damage

AP: move -> orb of nimble thoughts to slide to -C24 (ignores difficult terrain)

standard: color spray on defender5, 1, 3, 6, 9, and dragon. Also, if I can angle it to avoid Rujah and catch defender2 as well (since Rujah is on the ground and they are standing) I will do that as well - just let me know and I'll roll for him, too.
Results:
def5: 15 vs. will MISS
def1: 25 vs. will hit
def3: 28 vs. will hit
def6: 19 vs. will hit
def9: 11 vs. will MISS
dragon: 18 vs. will MISS
So defender 1, 3, and 6 take 9 (minimum) radiant damage and are dazed. (Wow, I have to roll above average to hit anything - not lookin' good for ol' Mervin...)[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Wow, so I just realized I have to roll a 17 to hit the dragon with anything, since I'm level 3 and she's level 12! Don't think I'll be bothering with that again. Also the defenders only have to roll a 6 or higher to hit me, and the dragon only misses on a natural 1. ...How long is that portal open, again? :) I don't know if Mervin should even be in this fight...[/sblock]

[sblock=The mysterious halo]Actually, that's Rujah's light that I forgot to move to -A22 (where Rujah now is). The smudge that looks like a character is actually a dead kobold (I believe Defender8). I'll correct the map.[/sblock][sblock=Fair (OK, maybe not so fair) warning]I'll be out of town for a week starting Saturday (Sept. 4th). I will be able to post from my iPhone, but no big map updates. Sorry about that.[/sblock]

[sblock=Gensai Health]I had 5 THP from using my AP last round, so I have Gensai at 0 THP and 31 HP
[/sblock]"NOOO!" Gensai shouted, and he was momentarilty stunned as his vision was flooded with other memory of Rujah; He felt waves of feeling for the dragonborn, as if he was Rujah's retainer.

Shaking his head, the swordmage returned to the battle. He locked gaze with the lead Kobold. "This dragon will kill us all! Attack my masters again, and I will strike you dead; but if you leave us be, we'll focus on the dragon."

Turning himself toward the Dragon, Gensai focused his energy. With a growing scream, he unsheathed his blade, sparks shooting from the scabbard opening. As the tip was drawn, a ball of flame shot out and landed on the Dragon. However, it seemed to do no damage. Despite this, Gensai seemed just as determined. "After this day, they will call me Gensai the Dragonslayer!"

Swordmage Shielding Fire (Miss), but the dragon is marked with AoS for the entire encounter, as long as no one else marks it. Plus, as long as it is marked, whenever AoS prevents damage, the dragon takes the same amount of damage in fire.

Move back 1.

[sblock=Action Block]
Minor: N/A
Standard: Swordmage Shielding Fire vs Dragon (Fort)

  • Target: Dragon
  • Attack: 1d20+9=24 - 1 =23
  • Damage: 2d10+4=0 fire damage
  • Effect: The creature is marked as if from your Swordmage Aegis power until the end of the encounter. This does not end existing marks placed by your Swordmage Aegis power, and using your Swordmage Aegis power to mark another enemy does not end this mark. Another creature’s mark supersedes this one.
  • Effect 2: Until the end of the encounter, when you reduce the damage the target deals using aegis of shielding, the target takes fire damage equal to the amount of damage your aegis of shielding power prevents.
Move: Shift to -C20

Fenwick surveys the action and hears Gensai's words. Yes. This makes sense.
"You, kobold guys," he yells. "You fight dragon! We fight dragon! Maybe when dragon eliminated, we fight you, maybe not! This making assumption we and you both still standing. Good idea? Once, when Fenwick very small, second brother get into fight with oldest brother, with lots of fisticuffs and hitting with iron skillet. Fight end when big panther come out of woods and prepare to eat get into fight with brother, but have to stop fighting when a panther come out of woods with intention of eating brothers. Two brothers against panther better than brother against brother against panther, in which panther has notable edge." He steps back, trying to act non-threatening, as he moves into position for a desperate charge at the dragon.

[MENTION=83115]Theroc[/MENTION] : I used and action to heal Rujah, he can act this turn. I also gave him an extra melee base attack.

BenBrown: It's your character, but i f you wanted to use a rage daily this encounter, do it soon. Barbarian's are one of the classes that benefit from early daily power use. Just a suggestion (sorry if playing a warlord makes me bossy, if anyone has a tip for Riardon's next action, I will listen!).
