[Adventure] Lost Love (DM: Velmont - Judge: Renau1g)

[sblock=ooc]Post order was what I believe has been said.[/sblock]
Using his just remembered common knowledge, Unit 16 finds a reflective surface (possibly himself?) and tries to get a beam of light to hit the gem on the door.

[sblock=sunrod]I take it the sunrod had no effect?[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]Combat: It will be post order, that's help to have faster combat. I'm not yet sure if I'll do one or many initiative for the monster. I'll see once the first combat arrive.

The sunrod have an effect: it light up to 20 squares with bright light. Except that, nothing more.[/SBLOCK]

"I'm not really sure I get it," Talkrai said, sounding very confused. "This is some sort of prison for an undead who was in love? That's what I hear there. This seems like a very strange way to deal with a prison though. Hmmm..."

She trailed off, removing one hand from her sword (and lowering it's point to the ground) and tapping her cheek with a finger in clear thought.

"What if the light of Arrah is something special. A special gem or something? Is there anything down there that looks like a socket at all?"

She peered down again with interest at those below, but stayed at the top of the hole herself.

[sblock=ooc]I'm at a convention this weekend. It's actually close to home, so I'm returning home every night, but I may not have much time to contribute before Sunday evening late, or Monday. Just a head's up.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]It isn't too late, there is at least 4 hours of light. The glade is still under the sunlight but the shadows is growing.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=ooc]Just to make sure I'm following: We are able to get enough sunlight to reflect onto the lens but it is not having an effect on the door, correct?[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I was under the impression evilbob had 2 questions, 1: did the sunrod have any effect, and 2, did the light from the natural sun reflecting off his body have an effect. The first was answered as a no go, but I'm not sure the second was addressed.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]Sorry, too much work and not enough sleep make me miss some action posted...[/SBLOCK]

Unit 16 finds among the stock carried by the workers a new shovel that seems to reflect the sunlight as well as a mirror. He stands in the light and try to reflect the sun. As a ray of the sun cross the small lens, Priam hear a small click behind the door and a moment later, the door open by itself.

Behind the door is a small staircase that goes down into darkness.

Pis slides forward to the threshold of the door and peers into the darkness, hoping some of the light from the sunrod pierces the shadows. “Perhaps now we can get to the heart of the matter, neh?”

He glances at the dog-eared page in his journal. “To cross the earthen ward, that stands across her heart, keep distance from the guard, and climb over those walls.”

[sblock=ooc]Velmont, should the “wall” in the last line be plural or singular? Edit: fixed[/sblock]

[sblock=edit]just clarifying Pis isn't entering yet.[/sblock]

Weapon in hand, Unit 16 proceeds cautiously with the others.

[sblock=ooc]16 can lead the way if we need to decide a marching order. Or we can send the rogue first if we wanna scout ahead. I'm good either way.[/sblock]
