Adventure Path using 1e modules, 1e vets only!!

Flexor the Mighty!

18/100 Strength!
So if you were going to do an adventure path series using the 1e mods, no super-mods*, what would you use? I'm mainly looking to use stuff by Gygax, Kuntz, and other people of that ilk.

*Other than the Slavers series which I've always wanted to run.

B1
B2

Are the traditional starters. B2 is a little tough for a 1st level party. But both are pretty tough adventures. That mad hermit (if played as the module suggests) can basically kill one party member right off.

Villiage of Hommlet would be my one after that. This is the original temple of elemental evil for all you 3e guys.

That -should- be enough to get the party up to "Slaver" levels. I think.

For Starters I'd recommend Under Illefarn, just to get the party up to level 2, then continue with the UK modules The Sentinel and Gauntlet followed by When a Star Falls and ending the middle levels with When Dark Clouds Gather. By the end of that your party should be around 9th-10th level. Few adventure modules did appeal to me after that but some of the OD&D modules look quite interesting so you might find some inspiration for the 10+ levels.

PS: Yes, I love the UK series :D

B1 and B2 are basic D&D not advanced, I'd go Temple of Elemental Evil to Slavers (in fact I did that in my greyhawk campaign) then back to temple.

Let's see options, desert of desolation series is about 4-8 levels I think, but there is some randomness in there.

Dragonlance DL 1-whaterver can take you through the whole course of levels.

There are some FR 1e ones as well, I remember Under Illefarn as being good for starting a new campaign.

But secrets of Saltmarsh is also a good set along with bone hill

Just another thing that came to my mind. I never actually came to play it (I prepared it though but then our campaign broke up) but the H1-4 Bloodstone campaign would be neat for the 15-Epic gameplay.

low levels (1st to 4th):
Keep on the Borderlands (could take quite a while and net quite a few levels)

mid levels (4th to 7th):
the Slaver series (A1-A4)

The high level stuff is the easiest--

Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (if you need a filler in the 8th level range)

Against the Giants
Descent to the Depths of the Earth
Vault of the Drow
Queen of the Demonweb Pits

I also liked Satlmarsh, Bone Hill, and the Desert series... I nipped them in favor of presenting just what I consider the "Canon" adventure path... Though I feel silly I didn't think of ToEE-- probably because it is one of the few i don't own.

And I would just like to add, at the end of Q1--

every campaign should end with TOMB OF HORRORS. (In fact many of them frequently do...)

I want to avoid The Temple of Elemental Evil, we played it back in the day and we are playing the Return version now. I'm wanting to move the group to the Great Kingdom or there abouts back in CY 570. The Vault mods may be something I'd run, I still have the compiled set.

don't forget the Vault of the drow series.
in truth you could start with the temple and run straight through to the against the giants series. they are all linked and should take you from 1st to 16th+ all with one story line.
the drow adventure is very good (although it depends on how burnt out you are on drow at this point in gaming history) and the giant series just rocks. it is a big hack fest though.

after the giants you could then do queen of the demonweb pits and take on the drow goddess herself.
