[Adventure]: Shards of Eldanarth (DM: MadAzolin, Judge: ??)

"I am already starting to like you grim companion, Champion" <giggle>. "And he is indeed correct in his answer, so we will wait with contest for a bit." <creature looks almost disappointed>
"As for a question, I would say he has right to ask one as he answered mine correctly, right?" <creature giggles with innocent look on her face>

"I know it's a nightmare. Nightmare is also a dream, specific kind, true, but still. And you didn't answer my question."

"And she will not because mine is the right." The wizard said. "My question is: Could you conceal us from the Hunters until the red moon is gone?"

"Indeed grim one... You should look up to your grim friend champion, he seems to understand The Game better then you do... you see - every nightmare is a dream, but not every dream is a nightmare, right? Therefore answer to my question cannot be dream. It is if you answer me with monster when I ask for troll - of course it is monster, but that would be too easy <giggle>."
"As for you grim one, practical and to the point, right? Yes, I could conceal you from the Hunters until the Hunter's moon sets. Buy I wonder why would I? Perhaps if you ask nicely, really nicely <laugh>"

"Anyway, my turn:
'When you bleed, when you cry, they shall gaze with hungry eye,
You gaze up and think a beast, they gaze down and think of feast,
Finally when you lie down die, they shall swoop from the sky,
Echoes of the song on wind, merry song for feast is nigh'

"You have a very grimm outlook indeed. Why not ask a riddle with something sunny, flowery or at least marshy? I will leave you in capable hands of our dear mage here. Maybe I would answer "a bird", eh? Luckily for me, I'm out."

Martelai switches to draconic and lowers his voice to near whisper
"And you, mage, ask directly what would it take to shield us, otherwise you'll get "I could", "I would" and finally, when you ask her to shield us troll bi*ch will say I don't know your abilities. She's just keeping us for the trolls to catch up."

"You are indeed correct." whispers back Vermitrax.
Raising his voice, he answers "You pose a riddle for which there is two answers, it could be vultures, or it could be ravens. I'm more inclined to say vultures, the flying pattern you describe is more characteristic of those birds."
"My turn I believe: Precisely what would you require of us in order to conceal us from the Hunters?"

"Hard choice, ravens or vultures? <giggle>. Your answer is correct one however"
"I just answered that one, didn't I? I guess people from bleak realms are not as smart as they seem <laugh>...
You have to ask nicely for it, no more, no less, but be nice about it - it is all part of the game, isn't it o' Champion? <looks mockingly at Martelai>"

"My turn: let's make this one a bit harder:
'Not a demon, god or priest,
not a man nor child or beast,
I come unseen and make you mine,
Make you see things from blackest sleep,
Make you hear voices from the deep,
I make you howl and I make you whine,
and make you eat flesh of your own kind'"

"Good, then please, oh gorgeous lady of the swamps, shield us from the Hunters, be that your grace towards us, we will be forever in debt with your gracious ladyship." Vermitrax interjects.
He then mutters something under his breath "Now, the answer... Hm this is a harder one, congratulations for your riddle. Tell me champion, would you think the answer is Madness? Or Canibalism? The last sentence drifts me off Madness, but its likely the answer. What do you think?" he asks Martelai.

[sblock=Draconic]
"I would say madness too, this is general direction of her riddles, I think this is her idea of mocking me." he shrugs "Not very imaginative, my peers were much better at it. The game is all in her head which is twisted somehow, most of the fey of the woods are playful, but joyously so, this one seems...not right, maybe it's the swamp."
[/sblock]

"Then our answer is madness, fair fey of the swamps. Now, would you agree on our humble request?" The wizard replies in the end, after a nod towards the warlock.
