Arkavas leans over the sarcophagus of the Emerald Warlock, inspecting the burial clothes, any inscriptions he can find, the amulet, and the face of the corpse.

"Well. This chap looks something of a high flier. Wonder what he did before he became a daisy pusher."

"Sweetness. If you're itching to find something new to do, that glowing door out in the other room is rigged. Be a good girl and find out if you can open it without setting off any bells and whistles. I'm afraid my skills are a bit rusty in that area."

With a new goal in mind, Sweetness stalked into the other room to examine the door and its associated mechanism, as Arkavas pointed out. After a few moments of deliberate study (puncuated by soft barking chuckle here and there), Sweetness reached into her battered leather satchel and took out a small leather case full of metal implements. "Maybe stand back, yep yep yep. Might go boom..."

OOC: Thievery at +14 (with tools) to play with the pressure plate- possibly 2 checks if appropriate (one to figure out what it does, and one to disable).

Arkavas takes the amulet and takes a close look at it. It looks like an eye within a silver pendant. The amulet irradiate magic. He feels some dark magic working on it but after a moment, he realizes it won't harm or badly affect the wearer. It seems a way to keep away any assassination attempt. The Warlock seemed to be kind of paranoiac, and seeing where he is now, he might had a good reason to be. Also, he quickly realize this amulet does not fit the description given by Gareth

[SBLOCK=OOC]This is an Evil Eye Fetish +2. It's act as a magic amulet +2. Also, any enemy having combat advantage against the wearer who attack him takes necrotic damage equals to the enhancement bonus of the amulet (in that case, 2 necrotic damage). This is a lvl 8 amulet.[/SBLOCK]

Sweetness tries to work on the pressure plate for a moment and he finally come to the conclusion there is no way to reach the mechanism of the pressure plate by working on them.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Thievery Check to disable the pressure plate. (1d20+14=28)[/SBLOCK]

Gruff stares at the amulet. "A fair trinket, that. I'm tired of these ghosts striking through me armor instead of at it... may I take the amulet? I can pass along my old one to one of you."
[sblock=ooc]
Gruff has a amulet of protection +1 that he'll give to whomever if he can pick up the trinket. The extra NADs are nice, and the rider is good as well, especially since swordmages like to pull in lots of enemies. :P [/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]FYI, with the parcel way to attribute items, I must tell that item was thought at first for Gruff, but anyone can take it if the group see it better fitting someone else.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=OOC] I think that since Gogmorthak has record so far for the bottom of the hp curve, I think he could use the +1 amulet with which Gruff is willing to part. As for me, I'll hold out for something else.

Plus. I just noticed that I never posted a wish list on my character sheet. Silly me ;). [/sblock]

Sweetness worked on the pressure plate for a few moments as the others wrangled over possession of the 'trinket'. Then she stood back up, shaking her head and grumbling. "All the fiddly bits are underneath the plate, yep yep yep. Can't get at 'em, and don't want to just jump on it..."

OOC: Is that magically warded doorway the only way out from this side? Were there any doors out from the room with the crypts? If not, and we can't get through the warding, there is still the stairway from the other room- where do people think we ought to head next?

ooc: Gogmorthak has a brooch of shielding +1, so no worries on the amulet of prot. Tinwe, hopefully someone else is missing a neck slot and can benefit.

[sblock=ooc]
Given the character generation method, I'd guess almost everyone has at least a +1 neck slot item, armor, and weapon/implement.
