Even though she doesn't see it coming, Roswyn gets slapped up the back of the head by a heavy hand when she uses the silly name. Rohna is rolling her eyes, but doesn't seem to have moved from her saddle. As they follow the woman, Olaf makes wide winding arcs to stretch his muscles after standing more or less still for several days. "What did we say about having anyone's name in the title of the group, being a death sentence?"

[sblock=ooc]I know R1 is busy with the birth/baby probably, but has anybody heard from Scorpious? I'll wait until tomorrow until moving on.[/sblock]

The woman looks back at the mention of the name of the group. Perhaps she was a little relieved that they seemed experience.

Soon enough the group arrives near the center of town, and they enter a meeting hall of sorts. It looks like it was a church at one time. Small details remain of who it was dedicated to. Clawed feet at the base of the pews, a scale pattern on one portion of the wall. A group of humans are seated around a table near where you would presume an altar used to be. They look up as you enter. A middle-aged man stands up. His beard is pointed and black, an old scar crosses his throat, and his hands are calloused from bladework.

"Good, it seems our call of help has been answered. When will you be ready to go out into the jungle?"

Rohna hitches Olaf outside the "meeting hall", leaving Mitra and Gretta to guard him. The dire boar doesn't seem to like that idea but doesn't put up too much fuss after a good scratch behind the ears from his owner.

She leans over to the rest of the group as they are escort into the old church, speaking as quietly as she can. "Are these the people that know where the drawing is?"

[sblock=OOC]hehe I forgot to tell you that the name Rohna came up with, "Krakath En Morthon" roughly translates to 'mountains of death' in giant. So translated into common, it could could be anything from "doomrunners" to "scaleslayers" since the land of Eberron is reputed to be made from the body of a dragon anyways.

That's kind of why I liked "Krakath En Morthon", because it is very open to interpretation. (since we can't agree on anything :p)[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Sorry for absence... I had in-laws in town over the weekend, couldn't find any time to post. And then couldn't get through to ENWorld yesterday. It still seems kind of slow.

Busy at work now but I'll post more later tonight.[/sblock]

Tondrek whistles merrily as he climbs the rigging, unaware of anything else in the world.[sblock=OOC]IIRC, we weren't actually hired to help anyone. We're looking for a schema.

And don't forget Shava's version of the name.[/sblock]

"Hey, Tondrek!" Thalen shouts to get the half-orc's attention "C'mon down from there for a minute, we need your input" she calls, waving him to come with the group as their host seems intent on bringing them inside the town.

"Hmmm...perhaps you can provide some more information on exactly what help we can provide. Our source was a bit.... light on details" the half-elf says with a smile, nudging her fellow Lyrandar as well, knowing she's likely stronger with her words than Thalen.

diplomacy aid another (1d20+7=17).

Scorpius is out for at least a week (see General Discussion thread for more details). If thalen can't aid another, just use that roll for her check.

Sorry for the delay, I was off last week with the boys and focused on trying to keep up with my DM'ing games with my less available computer time.

Roswyn scowls at the goliath, but then sobers. "Right. Death sentence. All right, 'Krathak En Morthon' it is... hmph. 'Never fear, Krathak En Morthon is here' doesn't have quite the same ring to it..."

Roswyn picks up Thalen's cue. "Yes, your, um, call for help. It got a bit, uh, mangled in transit. Can you bring us up to speed on the current situation?" She strikes an attentive, serious pose.

[sblock=checks]Diplomacy, Bluff (1d20+14=29, 1d20+12=13)

Not sure if the bluff check is needed, but it's for Roswyn trying to play off like we were coming in response to their call. Hope it's not needed since I rolled a 1. :p (Probably won't matter too much even if they know we weren't, but Roswyn would try to play the angle, just in case...) [/sblock]

Tondrek blinked twice and looked around, seeing the retreating tail of his group disappear into town. Shrugging, he lowered himself down and untangled himself. It took a good few minutes, and everyone was long gone by then.

Tondrek ambled it way in the general direction he thought the group went. Considering is quite unusual looks, no one would mistake him for a villager.[sblock=OOC]Tondrek will move at the speed of plot and arrive whenever Evo thinks its best. :)[/sblock]
