Loot roll: 1d6=3 1d6=1

"So, Lord Jarot, is there something you'd like to tell us?"

Kinion sits in an open chair with a sigh, "So you've met Lord Jarot then, he is an out spoken one isn't he. My name is Kinion and I am no more Lord Jarot then you are youngling."

[sblock=Kalidrev] Let me know if i need to make a bluff check. :) [/sblock]

Grryth remains silent as the gnome rambles on. Once the gnome leaves the room he makes his way over to the pitcher of ale and pours himself a drink. He takes a long pull of the ale as he looks around.

"What a dump" Grryth mumbles as he clears away some froth from his chin.

As Alexia questions the shapeshifter Grryth listens in carefully.

Hmmm interesting. He chages not only his appearance, but his mind as well. Think he needs a test.

Grryth takes a step towards the changling. "So who was da big furry guy that was chasing after da messanger with us"? Grryth asks.

"And for that matter, if ya can't remember us meetin Lord Jarrot, then how da heck do ya know any of us then? Why are ya here with us, cause it was that pompus flake Jarrot that joined up with us, not you or that furry bugger either.

Grryth stares at him for a moment before continuing "Whats you game buddy - cause if we is fightin together than I need to know I can trust you. Tiime to fess up."

[sblock=OOC]
Insight (1d20+4=6)
Arrgghh what a crappy roll - hopefully someone else can top that...

Oh, and obviously Grryth has taken the time to burn some healing surges and take advantage of Alexias Song of rest to heal up to full (left his stat block on work computer so can't tell how many I'll need to burn right now)

And for the Loot,1d6=3, 1d6=5

ooc: No lottery for me. The proposal is taking too long to pass.

Alexia tenses up at Grryth's questioning. She watches both parties carefully, ready to intervene if necessary.

ooc: Insight 23, if necessary.

Loot roll: 1d6=3, second roll 1d6=5

Lo-kag breaks his second cup as he attempts to drink the water from it. His pointy teeth keep getting in the way. As he attempts to drink from a third cup, he hears the harsh questioning directed towards the shapeshifter from Grryth. Lo-Kag chuckles, causing drips of acid blow out of his mouth, burning a hole in the cup. The water pours out the opening. Lo-kag sighs and rolls his eyes. Growling loudly, "Is there a bigger cup around this place. I'm dying of thirst." He then stops his outburst as others in the room are intent in hearing what the shapeshifter has to say.

Rolls: 5, 3.

Garrick decides not to participate on the discussion about the shapeshifter, but instead just watches curiously.

To the party, Kinion does, in fact, seem like a completely different person. His mannerisms are different, his body shape is different. The only thing tying Kinion to Lord Jarot, as far as the party can tell, is that he is wearing the exact same clothing and using the exact same gear as the other two personalities.

At the end of Grryths' questions, the gnome runs back to the group, slip of paper in hand. It is written in an elvish tongue commonly spoken by Zilargo gnomes, however, even were you able to speak and read that language, you would also notice that the gnomish characters are simply phonetic interpretations of the draconic tongue. Were you able to understand both languages, you could translate the slip of paper.

[sblock=Translated Translation] If you can speak BOTH Elven AND Draconic...

[sblock=Translation] ...you translate the paper as "One from nothing, a far away land, lock locations, transfer to my hand." [/sblock]

[/sblock]

Speaking the triggering words in dialect of draconic, the gnome reaches into his magical bag, his arm disappearing up to the shoulder as he attempts to grab a hold on something.

"Almost got it... almost got it... THERE!"

With a suctionous *PLOP* the gnome retracts his arm. Clenched in his small fist is a long black cloak with golden trim. Small vein-like designs are embossed on the back of the cloak in the same material, but shine a dull red when the light crosses it just right.

"Well... what have we got here? Ahhh. I know what this is! Anyone who wears this should be able to continue on even after sustaining a serious wound, what a lucky find! Now, uhhh... who will be accepting this item as my payment for the Messenger?"

[sblock=LOOT] Congratulations Otakkun! Your roll of 5 beat the other loot rolls and you win the first loot roll of the game! On ALL future stat blocks, PLEASE place the following so that we all can keep track of the loot given out:

Level 4: Cloak of Walking Wounded +1 (lvl 4 item); Treasured 1st (-2 to lvl 5 loot roll)
Level 5: Un-treasured (Loot slots left: Level 5 Gold)

Alexia: That was very noble of you to opt-out of this rounds loot roll, even though you could have taken an IOU for later. Please remember to add the +1 to a loot roll in the future for giving me the wish-lists.

To All: I am a rather lazy DM and may ask for another compliation of wish-lists at a later time (with another +1 loot roll bonus incentive, of course). For everyone who has NOT received loot this time around, please place the following at the bottom of all of your future stat blocks:

Level 4: Un-treasured (Loot Slots Left: Level N Gold, N+1, N+2, etc as applicable)

Note to all: Thanks for sticking around and dealing with all of my absences. I'll try to keep them to a minimum from here on out! Now... let's get this story back on track! [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Yahoo! This melee warlock experiment is working a lot better than what I expected. Thanks for the cloak. [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC] Don't thank me so much as Invisible Castle ^_^ Yeah, I think the melee warlock is working out great, myself. [/sblock]

[sblock=JUDGE] Do I need to keep track of what loot I am giving out? If so, where do I need to keep a record of this? Do I need a judge to approve the loot that I have given out? [/sblock]
