(Adventure) Trek to the Vinyard...

Felix
"The fetish looks Orcish or Goblin, coupled with the reports of the 'beast'. We may be looking at an animal or 'beast' cult here. Why they would be acting like this though is open to conjecture, it could just be some exploration of animal or predator instinct. What do you others think?"

Troi looks at Felix. "I think that you think too much." He shakes his head. "At the moment, we've got so little to go on, it's not funny. I think we should just head out to where th' wagon is, and see what's goin' on for ourselves, y'know?"

He then turns to Gunnerson. "Not ta say that what you've told us ain't helpful or nothin', just that... well, it's a little hard to believe, y'know? People turnin' into animals, or whatnot... that's kinda out there. But hey, if that's what's goin' on, then I'll be sure to come back here and buy ya a drink to make up for me not believin' ya in the first place."

He then turns to the rest of the group. "We done for questions, now? We gotta wait for Rinaldo and Thurgan to come back, but other than that, we done here?"

"Come now, surely you've heard of werewolves?" says Velbrik. He gestures towards the object. "Hm. It may be a symbol of a group, or it may be simply a talisman. It might be magical. Should I look for a magical aura, or save my spells for when they may be more needed?"

"Yes, it looks like we've found out what we can for now."

Zoe focuses back after just waiting and watching the rest doing their actions, replying: "Sure. We know we need to be carefull. What exactly happened to that wagon we will find out later, I hope."

Frederick stops his work again, smiling as he takes a sip of water from a nearby cup.'I can't say as I've seen anything else overly odd, friend. Bandits, came across the signs of an Ogre a week ago, though no sign of the brute. We have had sightings of him by a local Hunter, though, We'll get him soon enough. Nope, nothing otherwise. Same old stuff, same routine as I reckon.

One of the halflings nudges the other, who had been listening, though he seemed reticent to speak. After a moment, he says 'We saw sumthin'. 'Bout four days back we wuz travellin' from Dulber out eastways, an' Rotho here says 'Cor, Anders, lookit thet!' I peers east and I sees smoke, far off like, somethin burning, I reckon.Only thing I know of thet'aways is the Tower of Delmlon, thet Dwarf Wizard. We wuz in a hurry and a might put off, as we's not Heroes or nuthin, so we moved on and figured we'd tell the next Roadwarden Station 'bout it. Well, thet night, we heard the most frightful sounds, howls and all sorts of caterwaulin'. Then, right through our camp comes flyin' some deer with a pursuit right behind. Me an Rotho hides in the scrub, and then all Hel breaks loose, Right on the trail of thet deer comes shapes, wolves or some sort of demon-dog? I don't know.Rotho thinks I'm mad, but I swear I saw em running on two legs.Thet's all we saw and I don't really wanna talk anymore'bout it, truth be known.

The halflings become a bit sullen and quiet at this point.
Ribaldo and Thurgan <Sense Motive> feel that they are scared and spoke truthfully about wanting to put the whole thing behind them.

"Well now . . . that is somethin' . . . thanks a lot lads. We'll be looking into it you can be sure," Thurgan said. Looking to Rinaldo, Thurgan added, "Time to update Troi and the others with what we learned, eh?"

Rinaldo enter, follow by Thurgan. "Here the news, company." Rinaldo told what have been said outside. "And those two halflings, they were scared just telling that little story. It seems mister Gunnarson may have not been dreaming when he was looking at the hill. It seems we may have a night bed story becoming alive here. And who know what such creature think. So what the next move? Are we going to see the broken caravan? We should be cautious if we continu the travel, with bandits and some Ogre in the region, it is not what I call a safe trip, even if the Ogre havn't been sigthed yet. Troi, you are the specialist of hunting and wilderness, I think you'll do the call on that."

"That's how it sounded ta me, too. Dwarven wizard interests me as well, perhaps it's worth checkin' out while we're out," Thurgan muttered. "Both ta make sure he's okay and ta get his view on what's about. . ."

The Roadwarden frederick mentions as the halflings finish their story 'That Wizard's Tower is about 30 miles East, friend.'

OoC:There was/is no caravan. It was a single wagon and it was attacked about 8-9 miles south, about halfway between the Vinyard and the Roadhouse.
