[Adventure] Trouble in Moonwatch (Judge: THB) - Part II

[SBLOCK=OOC]Sounds exactly like that.

1) Tieflings starts his action.
2) If the tiefling reappear: As an immediat reaction, every ready action are done.
3) Everyone who had readied see there initiative gone just before the Tiefling
4) The Tiefling complete the action he hasn't done for his actual turn.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=OOC]Almost, but not quite:

1) Tiefling does whatever action(s) he wants that does not make him appear.
2) If he finishes his round and does not reappear, then initiatives as previously.
3) If he does an action that makes him reappear, he gets to complete the action that caused him to reappear. Then, #2 through #4 in Velmont's post.

The Tiefling doesn't just start the the action that makes him reappear, he gets to complete it before the readied actions happen. The action itself doesn't get interrupted with immediate reactions. For example, if he attacks someone, the attack gets resolved first, then the multiple immediate reactions occur.

The only type of action an immediate reaction can interrupt is movement and movement doesn't typically cause someone to reappear.

Ok, so here's what the tiefling's going to do and I hope I'm doing it right. He's going to move (invisible) so it's still active. He's going to attack someone which then loses his invisibility. This then triggers all the readied actions. He doesn't have anything else to do on his turn, so that restarts the initiative with Sheeva up first? [/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]Yeah, I should have been clearer by telling not only 2), but 2) to 4) was under the condition. And ready action are immediate reaction, which imply they are done at the end of the triggering action.

Reanau1g, what you just state seems exactly what RAW say.[/SBLOCK]

"Ha. It's just the Tiefling. Come out and play little Tiefling." Sheeva shouts, her eyes full of mischief, course, the Tiefling might not see them in the dim light.

Feall can't help but admire the Tiefling's ability to conceal himself and move about. "Nice trick yourself," he says - not quite under his breath - as he sways with the pain of the blade and poison.

But two can play at that game. In the next instant the Drow fades to insubstantiality. His shadowy form takes a quick step and leaps up onto a nearby boulder, where he disappears from view.

Valahad waits for River to light the sunrod, then he peers around, trying to get ready for the tiefling to reappear.

River light up his sunrod before moving aside and planting his battle standard.

The tiefling appears next to River and Valahad, stabbing at them both with his blackened blades, the kalashter feels the terrible poison again coursing through his veins, but luckily River's armour proves strong enough to turn away the attack.

[sblock=Terrain]
Illumination: Dim light from stars - bright light within 20 squares of O14
Boulders: A DC 15 Athletics check allows a character to jump up on a boulder as part of a move. Otherwise, they are difficult terrain.
Boat: It takes a DC 10 Athletics check to jump from the shore; DC 5 to jump back. On a failed check, a PC makes the jump but falls prone.
Water: It's shallow enough here not to present a threat, but its difficult terrain

*Everyone please roll your attacks in your next turns actions. Also, going forward can you please roll them when you ready the action? It'll speed things up I think.

Tiefling - teleports to N14 (still invisible) and double attacks Val and River - vs ac (river/Val); dmg (1d20+13=16, 1d6+6=11, 1d20+13=32, 1d6+6=9) misses River, hits Val for 9 - vs fort (/Val) (1d20+12=20) hits, so ongoing 10 to Val

Should we wait until everyone posts their readied actions to post our actions for the next round?

Darkfire on Tiefling vs. Reflex: 23

I think I messed this up. I put in +9, but I think it is +11 for a 23 to hit (5 Cha, 4 power, 2 level). I forgot the level bonus.

If it hits, then the PCs have Combat Advantage +2 to hit until end of Sheeva's next turn and the target cannot benefit from invisibility or concealment.

As soon as the Tiefling show's itself again, Feall unleashes the Nightmare Shades against it.

[sblock=Action]Nightmare Shades (1d20+9=25)
Damage (2d8+11=20)[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]'Readied Action' didn't read to me as though I could drop a Shroud on the Tiefling before I attacked (though that's a free action). If he would be able to do so, add another Shroud Damage (1d6.minroll(2)=3) to the damage.

Also, I need clarification of 'Sustain Minor.' I'd like to sustain Feall's Shade Form, but don't know if I can with the attack.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
Shade Form is lost if you attack, but if you hadn't attacked you can sustain it indefinitely (with a minor). "assumes a shadowy form that lasts until he makes an attack roll or until the end of his next turn"

It's up to you if you want to post your whole turn now, I'm fine with it as it doesn't look like the readied actions are going to really affect what your actions are I think. [/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]My 2 copper about Shade Form.

1) Ongoing damage happen at the start of your turn, before you can take action.

2) Shade Form is a Minor action not an interrupt, so it can only be use during your turn, so the ongoing damage would not be reduced as it the damage was already done. It was too late for this turn.

3) A ready action happen during the turn of an opponent. It takes a standard action to ready an action (whatever the action cost) and it become an immediat reaction during the turn of the person who trigger it. Shade Form last UEoNT of Faell, so he doesn't need to sustain it during his ready action. At his next turn, he will be able to sustain it as usual.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=ooc]
Aye, but Feall's got a feat that turned Shade Form into an immediate interrupt.

He doesn't need to sustain it, but when he makes an attack roll (when the readied action goes off) the shade form power ends
[/sblock]

Pierced again through his armor, the paladin can feel the poison coursing through him once more. As soon as the blade is withdrawn, Valahad retaliates, but the tiefling is able to dodge out of the way as the poison causes him to shudder.
