Age Demographic

Whenever I see a "how old are you?" pool in these messageboards, I get really impressed how older people here are, compared to brazilian players.

Why impressed? The only feat we have achieved is not to die yet. Do they cull brazilian RPG'ers when they reach 25?

I'm not in the least surprised by the age demographics, though I do think that there is a skew due to internet usage as generally gamers older than their forties are a bit less keen on the internet than younger people and young gamers might not be able to access these sorts of sites due to parental controls or school useage policies.

I thought about splitting some of the catogories I thought that it could make the poll to long, I'd probably mess it up and it would make it uneven.

Not really. It´s just a matter of time, since most players started RPGing in the early 90´s. Before that we only had access to RPG books by photocopying the few that were imported.

I'm glad I'm still in the 31-40 group. (I'm 37.)

Been playing for over 26 years. (Longer than some of you are old.)

Looking forward to another 26 years.

My 12-year-old kid has been playing for over 3 years, and I hope we continue to game when he is coming to visit me in the old folks home.
