26, soon to be 27, although I look 18 or even 17 to most people. I'm Filipino.

And no, I'm not thankful that I look young. I've been hearing that ever since I was 18, when I looked like I was 13 or 14. :\

My math sucks. If I was born in 65 and now it's 04, that makes me....

61? Right?

Sweet merciful crap! Well, actually, that explains a lot, I guess.

Or no, wait, maybe it's 65 plus 04?...

Whatever. Same demographic: 61-70.

Heh- rember Grasshopper, to avoid the millenium bug use the full date!

Well, I toe in here at 35, but somebody asked me what scholl I go to the other day! Now either schol kids are getting to look maturer every day or I must look really young (OK, I admit it I have a hard time getting some Directors here at work to take me seriously since I look like I am in my mid-twenties- but under 20? No ways!)

Anyways- who worried about ID when buying alchohol when younger? As a certified delinquent I was friendly with the bar keepers and bouncers at tyhe clubs I used to go to and would get sneaked in and fed beer (and where I developed my taste for scotch whisket- a bouncer who decided to educate me, including alchohol, martial arts and the finer points of being a head banger! Thank God he was against drugs, he threatened to beat me into a pulp if he ever caught me with them, and they destroyed a few friends of mine!)

I too, am only 15.
and algolei... if you were born in 1965. and it's 2004... you may be a few decades off on your 61 age estimate...

OK- Lecturing mode on- enter wisened old computer hand

Hmm Tallok. At 10 you probably did not pay attention to the GREAT DATE issue leading up to the millenium. The issue was that many old systems used only 2 digits for year to save space (early computers had massive issues with storage, saving bits was essential and programmes were very tightly written. A reason why many older programmers dislike event based coding- it uses a lot more code and they were trained in an era of code minimilisation).

So with only two digits in the year, the current year is 04. 04-65 (current date-date of birth is the calc often used to get age) = -61, since someone obviously cannot be negative an absolute value is used and thus the age of 61!

actually, I did pay quite a bit of attention to this whole thing around the millenium, thus I'm used to the problem. I was just pionting out 2004 minus 1965 does not equal 61.
