The pace is a bit slow for the number of episodes they have, but overall, I had some fun. The villains seem interesting at least, and so does the mystery about this extra-galactic location. And for now, the evil mastermind's superweapon is apparently a giant hyperspace ring that allows travel to other galaxies, right? That's a change of pace!
I don't know if you need to have seen Clone Wars or Rebels to "get" it, but I did, so whatever.
The Captain of that ship in the beginning was too arrogant for his own good, but he definitely had no reasons to believe that he was inviting two Dark Force users aboard. The last Sith presumably died on Endor. The Jedi that exist is in your side, and they aren't that numerous. He had every reason to believe there were some imposters trying to pull something.
And he had every reason to investigate the matter and not just ignore it. They mentioned that they were expecting to rendezvous with Home One, but this shuttle appears . They didn't seem to be at a major travel route or hub, that any shuttle randomly comes along is highly suspicious and it seems it would be his duty to investigate. Taking them aboard is the easiest way to capture them without them having a chance to escape or being destroyed in a firefight. They could have instead send another ship to inspect them, but that carries its own risk. And the end result wouldn just have been those Dark Siders capturing the inspection vessel (or going along with a "capture" and then overpowering their guards).
I think, too, it's unlikely that the Jedi would be completely forgotten, especially since many people were still alive when they were around and leading battle armies. But after a decade or two propaganda and persecution of any "Jedi" or "Jedi friends", it's likely very few are still talking openly about it, so someone like Han might have taken them for children stories.
