This was not bad - some good battles, and more meat on the bones than the last episode. As usual, still relied much too heavily on characters doing dumb stuff. Think they are setting up a situation where...

...Ahsoka will be able to help find Thrawn because the map was seared into her hand, a la Raiders of the Lost Arc? Also, it was so silly when Ahsoka was like, "I can't spare two seconds to help Sabine finish off this apprentice so we can double team the dark Jedi, because I need to get there as quickly as possible so I can pose with him for two minutes."

That ending...unexpected. And terrible CGI, especially given that the FX are normally great on this show. Overall, 7/10.

So final thoughts on episode 5 predictions?

Last week's episode seems to be well received online I thought it was very good maybe even great.

Mortis arc from Clone Wars involved or something else? Anakin as a force deity?

Episode 5 is being shown in limited theaters here in the US, so it must be something special, maybe at least double-length to justify it. Thrawn and/or Ezra must finally be showing up on-screen in this episode. Or it could just all be about Anakin, with flashbacks and everything, to both her time with him as padawan and to her fight with him as Vader in Rebels.

I dunno. I've been hoping this show would resolve whatever it is that Filoni has been building up with Ahsoka's story ever since Mortis. The Daughter + Morai the owl + 'pure' white lightsabers + the World Between Worlds. It's all adding up to something. I want it all to mean something.

Part of me thinks it's all too deep a Clone Wars / Rebels cartoons cut for this show, but then Huyang is a pretty deep Clone Wars cartoon cut too, so maybe all bets are off. Could be anything! Let's just hope it's something good.

I'm also hoping that Ahsoka returns to the same planet and grabs Sabine's helmet on her way back to her ship. I don't know why, but it bothers me that she left it behind.

You know, her leaving her helmet behind might be a symbolic casting off of the Mandalorian ways on the way to embracing the Jedi ways, dark or otherwise.

I'm almost jealous. Last weeks episode went down very well online haven't seen the fam base this happy since Mandalorian S2;).

Last EU stuff they did their own take on it adding the mother to the Mortis gods. It was moderately awful but basic idea was good.

Interesting to see new take they would have to seriously muck it up to be worse.

Huh. And here I was about to say, given how little has happened in each episode of Ahsoka, anyone calling Andor slow can get outta town.

I mean ... it was a good episode. Fun seeing Hayden back again, but it was literally just a dream sequence and we proceed to next location. Well executed, but not filling.
