Ahsoka - SPOILERS

It'd be nice if whatever Baylan's looking for turns out to be in a different star system. It's a bit of a let-down that we've gone to a whole new galaxy, and seemingly all we're going to see of it is one planet.
The end credits show the star trail and when it gets to the neighboring galaxy(I think as it's in another language, but is the farthest trip and goes past the space whales) there are a few planets shown as they arrive, one begins with a D which is where I think they are now. Perhaps they are showing more than one because they will go to others.

Could Baylan be looking for something related to the Whills? Ahsoka and Huyang start talking about a story from a galaxy far away and Baylan also mentioned the stories of this galaxy.
I've seen IMO a strong case that the runes seen in the show are Zeffo, and specifically name their dark-side corrupted ruler.

For those who don't know, Zeffo are ancient Force sensitive aliens from the Cal Kestis computer games. The left ruins on a number of worlds, including Dathomir. Their civilisation collapsed when their ruler turned to the dark side, and the survivors fled to another galaxy.

Ah didn't play fallen order.

Explains the Zeffo related youtube thumbnails.

Some things I noticed/liked.

1. Night troopers seemed alive. No green gas or funny voices.

2. Thrawns portrayal. He orders a retreat and outsmarted Ahsoka.

3. Using force to fire on Ahsoka. Easter egg to Joruus at Ukio who did something similar?

Fun enough episode overall. They're building up Thrawn looks like season is going to end with him jumping home.

Needs another season at least before movie imho.

Is it known from previous material why the Great Mothers would be subservient to Thrawn or is that something that has yet to be explained?

yet to be explained. We have been told they have some "arrangement", so likely its started as a tit for tat kind of thing, but may have evolved into a full alliance.

Historically Thrawn has been shown to be quite charismatic, and often inspires loyalty in others.

Thrawn and Ezra were here for like ten year or something? For all we know things between Thrawn and the Great Mothers did not start out chummy.

In any case I really enjoyed this episode. A bit surprised to see Baylan essentially graduate Shin. Though when he says she is ambitious that seems to make it much more likely she is going to get dead before the show is over.

Now that we have confirmation that this show is taking place after Mandalorian season 3, yeah, between 8 and 10 years after the space whales kidnapped them, depending on the exact time jump that happened between Grogu being left with Luke and then returning to Din.

Wookiepedia says 10. Ahsoka starts 9 ABY (9 years after the Battle of Yavin), and the finale of Rebels was 1 BBY.
