Airwalkrr's 4e Game IC: Ch 2 Amnesia

"Hells," Amicae swore. "The priest and Petron are still in the water!"

She charges south, drawing her rapier and dagger in a quick one-two that's clearly well-practiced as she bears down on one of the elementals and gives it an inhumanly quick feint, followed up with a nasty lunge to stab it through!

(move to K14 and use Changeling Trick as minor, then attack W4 with MBA.)

Petron's slash cuts away a swath of water that splashes upon the wall and slows down the elemental before him, but it continues to press its attack (11 vs Ref) and Petron ducks out of the way. A second elemental moves up from further down the stream to blast Petron (nat 1 vs Fort) and Krawlinstar (10 vs Fort) with a shearing blast of water, but the blast proves ineffective as the two bear the force with stalwart determination.

Krawlinstar tries to hold his own against the elemental before him as it unleashes a whelming blast of water against him and Petron. (two natural 1s) Fortunately for him and Petron, the water blasts mostly against the walls and only results in the two of them being drenched.

Erik's unraveling dart strikes one of the elementals (W4; 11 dmg) but the other dodges out of the way. One of the elementals unleashes a surge of forceful water that engulfs Erik (13 vs Fort) and Omar (15 vs Fort). They manage to hold their own against the water and remain standing and unharmed. Omar moves forward to slash at the creature with his sword (15 vs AC; 4 dmg), only dealing minor injuries it.

Amicae's feint works brilliantly as the elemental bobs when it should have weaved (Insight 11). She drives her rapier, deep into the creature and it starts to disgorge water from its side where she struck it (bloodied or "watered"). It attempts to retaliate with a slam (6 vs Ref) which Amicae easily avoids.

Goblin Caves

Trying once again hit the watery creature, Krawlinstar invokes a quick prayer to Pelor and imbues its strength on his mace.

Petron swing his halberd again hoping to score another good hit. However he slips with something underwater, that throws his aim off.

Krawlinstar has to dodge to avoid a slam attack from the elemental as he throws himself open to attack by using his ranged ability. However he manages to avoid the attack (OA, 7 vs Ref) and strike the elemental with the holy beam of light (12 dmg). The burst invigorates Petron and helps him narrow his focus. Both of Erik's darts strike unerringly and one of them deals enough damage to collapse the elemental (W4) into a lifeless pool that seeps back into the stream. Meanwhile, Petron has a tough go of it, slipping as he is in the water, even Krawlinstar's holy aid does not help. He does not manage to even graze the elemental in front of him.

Amicae decides Omar's probably doing just fine, so she hurries south to help out the guys pinned in the waterway. She aims her rapier strike at the spot already spurting water, hoping to make that little hole a lot bigger!

(Move to I17 and attack W3!)

Amicae's attack is an utter failure. Her rapier flies far wide of the elemental she is trying to strike. Luckily for her, the failed attack does not draw the elemental's ire. It (W3) continues to focus on Krawlinstar and Petron, unleashing a whelm of water over the two (22 vs Fort @ K, 23 vs Fort @ P). The two find themselves completely overcome by the water and knocked to the ground (prone and 7 dmg). The elemental near Petron (W2) takes advantage of the situation and strikes at Petron with a slam, but the blow is ill-placed and plunges into the water near Petron's side, merely splashing him with water (natural 1). The elemental from around the corner (W1) is more accurate (19 vs Ref), and the blow sends Petron reeling (6 dmg and 5 ongoing, save ends).

Meanwhile Erik and Omar focus on the elemental in the north part of the cave (W5). Omar strikes valiantly at the creature, trying to keep its attention (13 vs AC; miss), but only barely manages to keep it focused on him. It retaliates with a blow of its own, but it is hardly enough to injure Omar (7 vs AC).

Erik is torn between helping his friends and continue to support his charge. He finally decides, getting in a position to have a clear look on everyone and releases two magical darts in opposite directions. Fate wants that both hit, but their effect isn't as strong as Erik had hoped for.
