Albany, NY Gameday!(Aftermath)

Well, things are looking up. We still have a long time till March so the whole DM and Player thing will work out, I'm sure.

rjmc, that sounds great. I'll email you when things are nailed down(when/where). We could always use some non-d20 games. Though we will most likely turn this into an all day event with a few games in the morning and in the afternoon.

We are currently in final negoatiations with our landlord to expand the ZOmbie Planet store and get the second floor of the building we are in.

We are looking at making the upstairs a "gaming cafe" with gaming tables, internet access, coffe lounge, etc.

Hopefully more news on this by the end of January.

That's really great to hear. Now if only I could get into Albany more often. Darn living in the country and not driving.

Well I'll hopefully be able to talk a couple people (or more) into coming, maybe even into talking one into running Exalted.

I'll have to wait until a date is set before I can start working on doing so though.

OOOOOh. Exalted.

I know there'll be three players waiting here if it happens (as long I'm not GMing the same slot).

I'll see what I can do.

He's said he'd like to run a DB game some time, not sure if that's changed or not.

p.s. you ever go to PtK?

p.p.s. Anyone going to Genericon?

I haven't. I'm not a big fan of LARPs. Though, I did go to Albany U for a year or so.

I'm going to genericon but I'm not sure what's going on there. I want to make some flyers for the game day and go meet pete abrums but besides that I'm not sure.

Well, Syracuse would obviously be better for me as well. But I don't mind making the trip to Albany at all.

And man, I wish Twilight was still around. Kicked the crap out of Altered States any day of the week and twice on Sunday. That said, AS isn't bad, but it's in the worst possible location I know of in the city, and terrible to find at that. Also, the fact that it still looks like a warehouse and not like an inviting gaming place bothers me a lot.

[EDIT] Oh, and I'm still debating going to Genericon or not. Money has been tight lately, and I'm not sure I can even float the nominal fee they charge at the door for non-RPI students. Though I think I could find someone to lend me their student ID.

I beleave is you pre-reg(don't know when that stops) they change you the student price.
Nope. Something like $5 for students either way, and something like $10 for pre-reg and $12 for at the door if you're not a student. And while that doesn't seem like much, including gas and food (because I certainly wouldn't drive there and back, when I could stay with a friend) ramps up the cost. Which I can't really do, since I'm currently unemployed and have to seriously ration what little money I have to pay bills and the like.
