It's a horrible concept for a movie anyway, it wouldn't matter who was directing it. Though he does suck more than most.

I'm more disappointed in apparent storyline than director. The idea floating around for too long of adapting the Dark Horse series could have made an excellent movie. I guess we'll have to see how it goes.

Not neccesarily. I remember reading one AvP story which I really quite liked. Cant remember much of it beyond that predators used a captured Queen to seed a world full of aliens and then young predators were sent down as a test of man-hood.

I'm also still waiting for a film adaption of Aliens: Earthwar.

I'm pretty sure this was the original AvP series from Dark Horse. Still the best, though they have had others that were pretty good.

As long as his movies make money, and he doesn't go over budget too badly, there will always be a studio willing to hire him. The bean-counters have taken over Hollywood, too.
