And the question becomes, what alignment is the Wizard? An argument could be made pretty easily for LN, LE or CG.

I would say LN, since they are doing it in the interest of good, rather than building a brainwashed army to lord over.

Always wanted to play a high level wizard who develops a society where folks are enchanted to be Lawful Good.

I've got a society where alchemists can brew a hydeous serum that brings out an alternate personality of the opposite alignment. They find the most horrible scumbag in their prisons, dose him with it, and make him their dictator. What could possibly go wrong?

He secretly gets cured, of course. Why would he do that? He feels like revealing his true self is the only way to be truly honest...
