During the week, my alarm goes off at 5:50am. If it had been a weekday and you had waited another hour and 20 minutes, I'd be checking the boards And I did intend to stay up late, Friday night, as I need to finish a Chapter for my undersea PbP game. I even made a fresh pot of coffee for the occasion. Alas, as often happens, getting my kids ready for bed and snuggling with them while they get tired knocked me right out.

Hmm...

In the mainland US, 4:30am Eastern could be as early as 1:30am (Pacific), though it's 11:30am in Hawaii, and 5:30am in the easternmost parts of Canada.

... or 9:30 am in London, England
... or 8:30 pm in Sydney, Australia
... or 10:30 pm in Wellington, New Zealand

And that covers most people who are native English speakers in relatively rich countries (which for obvious reasons are the vast majority of people here).

So I'd guess most of those who saw your post soon after it was originally posted were either a fellow insomniacs, living in .uk, or in Oz without anything to do on a weekend evening.
