I think many of us are familier with the occasional debates that take place on the boards from time to time. Some of the exchanges on 'In game rules disputes' over in the rules forum is starting to remind of some of the boxing scenes from the Rocky movies: long and bloody with neither side will to budge an inch.

In that vein, I have started doing a blow by blow, or rather e-mail by e-mail, of the thread in the manner of the audio play by play at a boxing match in my head as I read it. Has anyone else had thoughts like this? How WOULD the moderators react if I were to post this in a companion thread to the 'main event'?

We wouldn't react well, because the thread usually devolves that way all by itself, with each person dissecting the others' posts into dozens of one-sentence blocks, which is very unattractive to look at.

Besides, the last thing that thread needs is encouragement to become a boxing match.
