buffy died. kendra became the slayer.
buffy came back, kendra is still THE slayer.
how do we know?
kendra died. faith became THE slayer.
buffy died again. NOTHING HAPPENED.

faith is still THE slayer. the line goes through HER.

if buffy dies AGAIN, nothing will happen AGAIN.
if faith dies, THEN the new slayer will be activated.

Okay, a few weeks ago I said I thought the beast was an enforcer, balancing the scale, now we have Cordy killing a major hottie (sorry) but still an evil.

Now, is Cordy using the knife the beast made with his on bones? Why show the beast giving it away but we really do not know who he gave it to. Also, it MAY be the weapon to kill him.

Why is Cordy faking Angelus out? Is she just using him? Is she under someones control?

Why do I not trust Lorne and for the greater good? Plus some things Lilah said about the other side actting. I still say the beast is working for the good side and so is Cordy and Lorne!

This is the speil that Joss and the writers have been telling the fans since Buffy died at the end of season 5. But if they had plans back then (And we know Joss allways plans seasons years in advance) to have another SLayer join the party they certainly wouldn't want to spoil it for the fans...."Why yes there is another slayer but you won't see her for a season or two".

The fact that NOTHING HAPPENED is as far as we know. Riely got married off camera but it technically didn't happen until we saw the episode where its revealed.

The fact of the matter is: We don't know. Period. I, myself, really don't belive that there is another slayer, I'm just offering a theory based off the fact that 1) You can't trust what the writers say. 2) A couple of characters in the serise seemed to belive that if Buffy died (again) another slayer would be called (again).

Cordy isn't evil. This thing that's wearing Cordy's shape, though, surely is. Lorne is definitely NOT evil. The spell, I'm pretty sure, was purely a way to fool Lorne. The real question is why is Evil-Cordy using Angelus as a catspaw? Clearly she knows that he can't be controlled, and is a pretty untrustworthy and unreliable tool...but he can be manipulated, and it's clear that this being, whoever it is, is pretty darn good at that.

Next question is: why does the beast serve her/him? Is it the Beast's mother, for example, or something else? It seems to hold it's master/mistress in reverence, which may have nothing to do with it's respective power level.

On a side note, I kept scratching my head about the actor playing the beast, trying to figure out why he was familiar, until IMDB came to my rescue, and showed me he was from "The 13th Warrior".

I think what we are seeing is the power that took Cordy, that W&H was working against. I called it 'good' but it may have its own agenda and not be so good but I think we have seen the hints in the show. Lorne's comment about the greater good, Lilah's comment about the 'other side'. We don't know anything about that side.

Why I don't trust Lorne, he has been off camra without anyone with him. He also is greener than he once was, which I think they addressed in one of the shows as an effect from the bore worm that took part of his knowledge of Cordy.

My whole take/hope on this episode is that Cordy is some agent planted by the First. I think the big boss of the Beast is in fact the First who/which is working both Sunnydale and LA. It would be a great connection between the two series.

What better way to help out the apocalypse than transforming Angel back into Angelus and setting him loose on the world?

I think Faith will be brought in as the muscle that can subdue Angelus and allow the group to to restore Angel's soul.

Just my 2 cents.

Torres Guests On Angel

Longtime genre TV staple Gina Torres (Firefly, Alias) will guest star in three upcoming episodes of The WB's Angel, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Torres will reportedly play a "godlike" being who's been the guiding hand behind recent events on the show, the trade paper reported.

maybe i'm wrong, but i can swear that somewhere around when wesley originally showed up as faiths watcher, either he or someone from the watchers guild tried to get giles to leave sunnydale because he wasnt needed there anymore because faith is the slayer and wesley is the watcher.

i'm only up to season 2 on re-watching old shows on dvd. so i havent gotten that far yet.

but i was pretty sure that there was at least one comment on show to back-up joss' comment that the slayer-line goes through faith now.

am i mistaken?
