Angel 02/11 Spoilers

maybe i'm wrong, but i can swear that somewhere around when wesley originally showed up as faiths watcher, either he or someone from the watchers guild tried to get giles to leave sunnydale because he wasnt needed there anymore because faith is the slayer and wesley is the watcher.

Wesley did tell Giles that he was no longer needed, but that was because Giles had been relieved of his duties as Watcher by the council, on the grounds that he had become too close to Buffy and was no longer objective. Wesley was officially the Watcher for both Buffy and Faith, except Buffy never really accepted him.

This was changed later, when the Council tried to intimidate Buffy once more, but she turned the tables on them. They needed her more than she needed them, so she demanded that Giles be reinstated, with back pay.

But this had nothing to do with the Slayer line of heritage.

I'm wondering if the "Willow" guest post might not actually be Willow, but instead the First, trying to kill Faith? Maybe by then, the potentials wil all be dead on Buffy, and all the First needs to do is wack Faith (or more precisely, have Faith wacked) to end the line.

More likely Willow will come recruiting for the big finale. Faith is probably going to be the only one to go back with her, though it'd be cool if Angel showed up at the end.

I think Cordy's been evil since she got back, in fact, it's probably not even really her.

Here's a question...I pretty much had it figured out that Angel was still really Angelus after the spell, but how did Lorne get the aura reading screwed up? Probably "Cordy"'s doing; the spell didn't give Angel his soul back, it just gave him a false aura.

Except that Willow hasn't died, and the First can only take on forms of the deceased.

I doubt they will kill off Willow. There would be little chance of an 8th season if both Willow and Buffy are gone. And as for the spell masking the aura, I think it gave him the soul of that thing Gunn and Connor killed. Mix in a little deception and Lorne simply reads it wrong.

Either way, 3 weeks is too long to wait for the next ep. Gah!

Which says a lot about Buffy as the first has taken her form more than once!
I don't think it means that much. She has died therefore The First can take her form. The First can also take the form of any vampire as they have died as well. It's creepy, but I don't think it means all that much at this point. We will see, tho. :)

Just a thought.. if the First can take the form of any dead person it CAN impersonate Willow.

No no, think about it.. Remember when alternate, Vamp Willow crossed over to this side? There HAS been a dead willow in this reality, and if It can do Buffy b/c she WAS dead at some point (Even though she isn't CURRENTLY dead), then by all means it could do Willow too.. or Angel, Spike, etc.

ON another note.. For some strange reason every time I write about the first I want to call it "HER"... I just have some strange feeling that the big bad will end up being female in the end... Every time I see it (Female OR Male form), I think "That's her, that's the first"

Finally about Cordy - Definitely Evil, either has been all along and the Real Cordy is still up there, or pregnant+evil against her will. It was obvious during the last scene that she was evil, but before that it was hidden well, though I was suspicious...
I figured it out when she cast the spell..
Soon as she looked at Angel AFTER Lorne read him I knew he was still evil and there was something strange up with her.. Then her 'convincing' him to come out, and his 'reluctant' acceptance.. It was too much to NOT figure it out.

Not true. Vamp Willow never died in this reality. It was only after she was sent back did she die (again). It is also probably safe to say that about half of Sunnydale was turned into vamps in that reality. That reality of course being the one Anya created for Cordy. I don't think would be valid in this one because that would mean that in any reality (not that in the Buffy-verse has it been totally explained) if you died, The First could take your form.

In this Angel we learned a but about alternate dimensions with Lilah's book being unaffected by whatever wiped Angel's memory. I don't know if they are the same thing but it would seem that things that effect this world do not effect other worlds which could apply to the alternate reality thing. There are spells that can shift things between each and with beings like time-travelers around the alternate dimension/reality thing may be explored more before both shows are done for the season (well, we know it will happen on next week's Buffy for sure).
